Different parenting styles between dogs and cats

This was posted on Gawker today. The first part of the video shows a mama dog teaching her puppy how to go down the stairs, and finishes with a mama cat doing the same with her kitten. 

:lol3: That's a bit unfair - the "kitten" was hardly that.

That's true... but it's funnier if you ignore that. 

That was SO funny!!!! I showed it to everyone at work!

All I could think about while watching this was my one cat I got who was already few weeks pregnant and had 3 babies.  She never figured out the neck hold and would mouth their heads and drag them.  She would walk backwards as she figured it was easier.  One night we were talking tv off light off and you hear her walking and starts to jump onto bed and a thump.  yup dropped the kitten.

All made it  She was spayed and that was that.  Oddly she had 1 kitten in her first litter(I did not have her then)  I often wonder....was there more and she only managed to bring 1 home or wore herself out and gave up on the others.

Aw... poor thing. Glad the kittens from the second litter all made out okay... don't really want to think about possible casualties from the first! >_>
