So lilly stopped eatting her kibble that we leave out all day normally about 50g which we leave as a snack and then she gets about 2 pouches of wet when she stopped enjoying the kbble i took it away and started with the wet. Now we only have one type of wet in at the minute and its whiskas 100g pouches I believe is chunks/cubes suspended in jelly I have a box of this and a box of strips in gravy on order which should arrive in five days wondering what other textures of cat food are available in the UK that I could give lilly to get her appetite back up. I'm thinking shes bored with the jelied cubes/chunks and whats a different style just wondering whats commercially available in UK

I have found one commercially available pate style that comes in individuals but it only comes in two flavours turkey or salmon and I know fish flavours aren't as good for kitty but here is the nutritional content I found on the turkey flavour:

~~Main Flavour:Turkey. Ingredient(s): Turkey (75%), Peas (3%), Carrots (1%), Seaweed, Linseed, Chicory, Cranberry Extract, Yucca Extract, Taurine, Vitamins, Minerals.

Additives: Protein 13%, Crude Fibres 0.5%, Crude Oils and Fats 8%, Crude Ash 3%, Moisture 75%.

I like the look of this food the % of turkey and moisture is high though I am not sure about the inclusions of linseen chicory cranberry & yucca extracts also is this crude ash % acceptable.

For comparison basis the food is Wainwrights perfect for cats brand

I have just been comparng the nutritional infor on the pouches I have for lilly and in her meat and fish kitten box each pouch only has 4% of meat or meat derivatives 8.5% protein 7.5% fat  2.5% inorganic matter 0.3% crude fibers 80% moisture and 0.3% calcium  no mention of ho much crude ash there is.

and in this box there is 3X chicken 3X turkey 3X cod & 3X tuna now I get 48 pouches per £9.50 spend so this is so bad money wise but the quality of the food worrys me. I imagine the meat and gravy box i also ordered will have similar if not the same values though that box wont contain any fish flavours as it has Duck Poultry Lamb and Rabbit.

So you not have any pet food stores you can go to to chat with them about foods and actually see their selection?  Otherwise it's going to be hard to know what is necessarily available in your area unless you can order via the internet.  Then I guess all kinds of foods would be available.

we went out last night and got our girl a range of single serve trays ranging from chunks in jelly to pate style some of them are still only a minimum of 4% but some are up to 14% for their selective meat products and she is pretty much eatting the tray in one go so her appetite is picking up starting to thnk it may have been boredom of the food we had to offer. She seems content with this new menu though so it will be going in our rotation. Will keep all updated.

Glad she seems enthusiastic about her new food choices.  Some cats like the same food over and over, and some like variety.  Just depends on the cat.  I have one who will LOVE something one day, then literally run away from it the next time it's served
.  I never know what to try to feed him

Daft thing is its the chunks in jelly that she has gone off but the select stuff that is jellied meat chunks in the single serve trays she will also wolf down. Both lots of the trays are from our local supermarket and I looked good and hard at the proteins and ingrediants list and it was so much better than the whiskas we get in bulk from amazon so once she turns one I will transition her onto the same food in the canned for adult (the stuff from the supermarket) this comes in big 400g cans in a bumper pack of 24 more than enough for us to feed her a complete wet diet for only 10.48 a month and then 28-40p per single serve tray :) A wee bit cheaper as our two bumper packs of whiskas currently sets us back about 20 a month
