I don't have a cat with either, but just wanted to clarify for anyone else who may read this...is your cat also on any asthma medications?

I haven't heard that glucosamine triggers asthma.  I have an asthmatic cat who has pretty bad arthritis in his hips/knees due to surgery on his patellas when he was younger.  I give him glucosamine daily to help with his arthritis.  I have noticed and increase in his asthma symptoms recently but he also has a chronic respiratory infection.  He has been on glucosamine for years and has had pretty well controlled asthma up until recently.  He is on a steroid inhaler for his asthma as well as a rescue inhaler as needed.

Yes my cat is on flovent inhaler and prednisolone!

Which antibiotics do u treat the cronic infection? My cat was also stabilized on asthma meds but now much worse breathing. Xray showed nothing she tried amox and tomorrow switching to doxycykline.
