I am officially horse mad according to my friends, and always have been!
I had my first ever riding lesson when I was five and from that very first moment I was hooked. I plastered the walls of my room with horse posters painted millions of pictures of horses and loved every minute in the saddle.

Sadly my parents never liked the idea of riding a horse and would say stuff ' like if you fall off we're stopping you from riding. I had fallen many times but refused to tell them! lol

I begged and begged my parents for a horse since the first lesson but I never got one and I always felt that a part of me was missing (I'm sorry that sounds quite cheesy :p)
Ever year I would come up with a new plan to try to convince my parents to get a horse but they never swayed so I was the horseless horse crazy girl:'(

Anyway the day I turned 18 my parents brought me to a horse rescue shelter and I got my very own horse!! It was the Best day of my life!!

Me and Freckles (my horse) became the best of friends and we excelled in the cross country course and show jumping arena. Freckles is a natural jumper with a perfect bascule and she always pick her feet up nicely over a fence.
She is the most gorgeous dappled palomino. She is 16.2 hands with a blaze and four cute socks.
Our best score in the dressage is 46 points and the highest we've ever jumped is 1m40.!

Ihad her bred last year and she is expecting a foal in a few weeks!!! :woohoo::rbheart:

Congratulations! My boyfriend was one of those kids who actually got a pony as a kid. My ex-husband's sisters also had horses when they were young, so my daughter has had the opportunity to ride those several times. She loves horses.

So great that yours is expecting. Congrats!

I don't own a horse YET but my family are cattle ranchers in the southern Rockies of Alberta Canada so we do have horses. I had a horse given to me but he's not going to be what I want. He's what we call a cowboys horse. Needs a very experienced and accomplished rider. He's WAY to headstrong for me. But his name is Wrangler and he's a Sorel quarter horse with white socks and blaze down his face.

I'm actually considering getting a draft breed though. I like big horses much better.

your sooooo lucky cos one of the reasons why my parents wouldn't let me get a horse for so long was because we didn't have enough land to keep one but me and my fiance found this gorgeous quaint little cottage with lots of land in the middle of nowhere in Scotland so now we have more than enough land :-D
awww he sounds so cute! Freckles is actually a draught horse cross :-D :catguy:

I have a horse and I love her. She also loves cats and likes dogs. She is okay with other animals in general including the wild turkeys.

I have been well trained by my horse. I run for her. I can fetch carrots faster than all the other horse owners. My horse says I am pretty smart for a green human.
