Missing my baby girl.

Sadly had to put my 14 yr old cat down today. Saddest goodbye. I am lucky the vet gave me one last night with her yesterday. I gave her so much love. She will always be my baby girl. This is my first loss and I'm sure not my last. Hardest part of being a pet owner. I know that she is at peace now.

I know what you mean by your first loss.  Losing my "only child" Skittles was one of the hardest things I ever had to go through.  I feel for you and am very sorry for the loss of your little girl.  :-(  

So sorry for your loss.  I lost my boy and girl on Monday.  I understand.  They were also 14 both.  RIP little girl.

Very sorry for your loss. I lost my 14 yr old to oral cancer as well. Its not easy knowing the day will come when you must say good-bye, but consolation and peace in knowing she is free of pain. I am so glad that you were able to spend some time with her. Rest easy little girl.

I am so sorry for your loss of your sweet Mickey.   It is the greatest act of love to release those we love, but so very hard to do. Hold on tight to the happy memories and the knowledge she is comfortable and at peace. Bless you.

I am very sorry for your loss. It is always hard to lose one. Her long life is a tribute to the love and care you gave her. Your suggestion to make the photo memory book is a great one. I hope others who have lost their baby will do this. When I lost my soul mate cat, Max, in 2005, I wrote the story of his life, including pictures and the Rainbow Bridge story. I made three copies, gave one to his previous owner who gave him to me because of allergies, and to his vet. I didn't want to forget any of the special things about him. My hubby was so heartbroken he never read it. I get it out from time to time, read it and cry some. But it always brings some special things about Max back to my memory. They live forever in our hearts.

I'm so very sorry for your loss, it is almost unbearable at first. Know that we understand your pain and would like to share it to lessen the burden. They are such a big part of our lives it leaves a huge hole in our hearts when they leave. Take care and keep us posted. RIP beautiful Mickey!
