Yeah I agree a picture would be really helpful to understand what you mean ? It would certainly be unusual for a stray cat to be over weight

Give her wet food as main dish. it is good by several reasons,  ONE of them is this is the trick for a balanced, slow "defating".

Do avoid low fat dry food.  The big problem with them is, they usually put in more carbohydrates instead of this lower fat.  while the trick is to put in more animal proteins, if you must lower down the fat content.

They dont need more carbos, its even harmful for them.

Next point, is, she really shall have good food now.  and this means, much animal proteins and animal fats...

thus, wet food of good quality, or kitten dry food of good quality.

Pics are highly desirable to see if she is fatty, or  is just so.

Now, when you begin to feel them kittens move, she has about 2 weeks left.

Good luck!

Unless she's got a small frame, 10-13 pounds is a good weight. The average cat is 10 pounds, and she's pregnant, so that's obviously going to add a bit. It doesn't sound like she's got much weight to lose, so maybe wait until after she's had the litter to start a diet.
