i'm glad i found this site. everyone seems to be helpful and informative. you all have really beautiful cats
i have a three year old male' Persian. his name is Dio and hes in good health. hes very lazy though he gets super hyper early in the morning. hes the cutest thing ever.
i found this site while i was researching on breeding as a friend of mine wants to have kittens of his own cat a bombay named Layla. she has already given birth once with her previous owner. however Dio is not very experienced in mating. we have put them together in three different heat cycles but she has not gotten pregnant. it seems to me like he has trouble getting the job done. (positioning and missing the target) . right now Layla is on heat and shes staying with me for a while. Dio very interested and keen on her. she hides from him and comes out and purs all over the floor and dio tries for a while and she meowws and hisses at him and runs away and rub on the floor like it happened successfully. but dio looks like hes not done he waits until she calms down with the rubbing on floor and wants to go at her again but she wont let him until for hours. and all of this time he is just waiting for her. hes not doing anythings else and i cannot distract him in anyway ive tried everything he likes but hes too focused on her.
so my question is did he successfully do it or and is it normal that hes wanting to do it like that without even taking a break??
and for all you're information i am aware that most of you don't approve breeding and i may sound like i'm inexperienced. i am, but i am taking good care of them and i know the owner of Layla and he can afford and he is capable of taking care of Layla's kittens. so i ask of you all to advice me on whats happening and what i can do or shouldn't do?
thank you in advance for all helpful comments
