My local pet store does not carry Lysine chews so I'm having to order them online. Cats being the way they are I was going to order several kinds and hope they like one type. I then noticed this won't be a cheap experiment. I have multiple cats and it is difficult to control dosages using the powder so I thought of the chews. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which chew your finicky cat likes? because I have a brood of finicky ones.

Good question, glad you asked it--I'll be interested in hearing others' opinions and experiences with the lysine chews/treats, too.

I have one cat who needs lysine supplementation, AND she's a treat addict so I thought it would be a no-brainer to get her some chews.  But she hates them, will not touch them!  The ones I got were from Pet Naturals from Vermont.  That's the only brand I've tried so far.

I got them from my Vet.  Vetri-Science, Vetri-Lysine Plus (Bite-Sized Chews).  They are semi-soft and I crumble it up with my fingers, because she has only 3 canine teeth.  She loves them. They were $21.00 for a bag of 120.

Thanks! I've got some ordered. Hopefully my gang will like them as much as Quinn does.

I could not begin to afford that with the herd I have!  I buy the human 1000 mg. capsules and open them and sprinkle in the food and mix it in.  Lysine just has a mild salty flavor and I dont think it changes the food flavor at all.  I've been doing this for years and have never had any problem with it.
