I decided to put cat grass in the house as well as out in the enclosure.

Sundar found it immediately.

He tucked in, then ate his dinner, climbed up onto the top of his tower and projectile vomited down the wall, over the carpet and right into the open basket of really expensive and hard to find knitting wools I was sorting through.

Yep been there, even without the grass. I have one that will get on the top cushion of the sofa and vomit down the back side of it with some in between the cushions for good measure. Hopefully there at least was a hairball in all of it so it wasn't a complete loss!!!

l've had this exact thing happen too, minus the expensive wools. l feel your pain!!

ln our case, the tree is in front of the window so there's a heating duct vent between the tree and the wall, and that's where a bunch of liquid ended up, yuck!

Yuck! It probably won't make you feel any better, but we used to have a Saint Bernard/German Shepherd mix who vomited on top of my head while I was driving to work one day. You can imagine the reaction when I called to say I'd be late, and why.

Oh no! Especially the woolen yarns!

We get it here, too, and what a mess it can make. I'm sorry.

Will you lose your wools or can they be saved?

A couple are cactus... others I think I've managed to clean.  I've put them aside and will wait to see if they start to smell...

I can't wash a ball of pure wool of course.  I'll end up with a felted ball.  Maybe I'll have a play and see what I can do with them. It would be a little ironic if they end up as felted cat toys..

Oh I can so sympathize.  We've had the projectile vomit off the cat tree before.  But the night before last I foolishly left a dirty meatloaf pan on the counter.  I figured I'd read through some posts here before I got too sleepy and then I'd get to the dirty task of cleaning that.  I really shouldn't have known better.  I really should have.  I caught Noodles up there.  A few minutes later my light gray carpets bore the effects of all that fatty grease and beef she injested.  It was nearly 1 am too.  So I spent about the next hour cleaning it up.

She kept trying to cuddle and be cute too.  It was like she was trying to say "I'm so sorry! I felt awful!"  Then she threw up once more and sat by herself for a few minutes till she felt better and came for another cuddle.

The up-side was because I was afraid she'd get sick again on the kids toys and coloring things that hadn't been picked up; I did a really good job cleaning up the house and first thing the next morning I got the vacuuming done without issue.
I had every intention of leaving those things down till the next day.  Oh well!
