ok guys, new pointless poll! My all time favorite is something I discovered while working at Monkey Wards at the mall. There was a Swiss Colony (they were a deli/cheese place) next door and I loved to go there for lunch. anyway, this is the sandwich...

shaved turkey breast
Havarti (Danish cheese it is soooooooooo good, creamy and rich!)
Rye bread, any type
Mayo (optional)
lettuce

i about died and went to heaven when I first tried this! if anyone is looking for something different, I highly suggest this combo.

I like cold roasted chicken sandwiches with romaine lettuce, green onions, cheese and olives. No mayo or anything like that, I don't particularly like any kind of dressing.

There used to be a Grum's on the first floor of my building, but they closed
I could always count on a good dinner from there.

I love ham sandwiches with salami, brick cheese, lettuce, and sometimes banana peppers on a thick crusty italian bread.. YUm! Sometimes I might dab on some italian dressing and/or mayo, but usually plain is best

:homer: mmmmmmm, sandwiches

I love corned beef w/sauerkraut. And, my all-time favorite sandwich creation courtesy of a local cafe in my town: Seeded sweet baguette, pesto mayo, roasted turkey breast, and cranberries. Oh, the sweet contrasts with the garlicky pesto, making for a tantalizing combo!

Oh, yeah, love me a good tuna sammich

Oh yeah, how about those after Thanksgiving sandwiches? May sound crazy, but in my household we love turkey, dressing and cranberry on wheat bread. Or open-faced with gravy!

I'll have to think about this and get back - after 4 months on Atkins, my vote would be for any sandwich, as long as it's on really yummy bread...

I love cold cuts, period, but my all-time weakness is really rare roast beef, with extra mayo and swiss on rye bread.

I had my dream sandwich a few weeks ago at Katz's Deli in NYC. But I am also a real fan of Boar's Head cold cuts, available in my supermarket's deli.

The only sandwich that comes close is leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. I am counting the days........

It has to be Turkey on wheat bread with all the fixings except Jalepenos.

Though Chicken and Tuna sandwiches come in second and third.

Favorite meal-and-a-half: pastrami and tongue on light rye with mustard on the side and 2 kinds of pickles, from one of the famous deli's near 7th & 57th in Manhattan - 4" high pile of meat slices

Favorite single-meat: rare roast beef on wheat or light rye, with mayo or a little horseradish (please don't tell the deli guys)

Favorite post-Thanksgiving: roughly-sliced leftovers on light toast smeared with some cranberry sauce

Favorite in-a-pinch home meal: tuna in water drained and mixed with some light mayo and seasoned with lemon salt and a little garlic powder

Favorite refridgerated leftover of a hot sandwich: half a meatball parmesan hero from a local family-run pizzeria

Favorite from Togo's/Subway/chain: Italian cold cut special, with tomato slices, shredded lettuce, oil & vinegar, no hot peppers, on a sweet roll

Favorite open-face snack at home: sardines from can laid on top of whatever sliced bread is around, drizzled with oil from the can

I love sandwhiches, Infact they are my 2nd fave food.. Ham is my first!LOL!

But I'm not a big fan of Ham in a sandwhich.

Chicken & Cranberry sauce is my fave and Chicken and Apricot a close 2nd...

Yummy, getting hungry!
I voted for chicken...But I like any sandwich as long as it has lots of lettuce, slices of tomato and a touch of mustard. Prefer white bread tho.
