When I first came across this site I was looking for advice because My husband and I had just adopt our second kitty and we were having a problem getting them to co exist with each other. I got some wonderful advice from some very sweet and helpful people. Once my family got in a routine of sorts my husband had an extreme allergic reaction to the new cat. The doctor said that it was a dander from the new cats skin that our existing cat did not have. sadly but thankful we have a no kill shelter near us that is ready and willing to help with any pet needs they accepted him back and I was called today from the shelter to say that Phantom has found a new home. He will be in a one cat home with an elderly couple who I am sure will show him so much love and affection. I was very excited at that .

Our house has settled back down now and our cat is surly loving being to himself again. He got a bath today and was a little upset at us until he got dried but he knows that we only give him one when he really needs it because he hates it so bad. I also clipped his nails today! I have never seen a cat whose nails grow faster than his.

I jam just so thankful for all the friends and fellow cat lovers I have found on here . I cant wait to get on the site everyday and see what is going on and interact with people who are like me and love our cats so dearly.

Yes I am so thankful that he has found a home. I actually got a call a few mins ago from the new owners and we seem to connect and hopefully i will be able to keep in touch with them to know how he is doing. I am just so thankful that he will be showered with love like he should be. I also feel like he would do better in a one cat home where he can just do as he pleases and not have to worry about another cat bothering or playing with him and he can get the attention he would like to have when he would like to have it .

Thank you for this update, it is great news that Phantom has adopted a new family so quickly, and even better that you have connected and can continue to hear about how he is doing. He is such a beautiful cat and it is lovely to know he may at last have found a peaceful forever home. I am sorry it wasn't to be with you.

I hope you stay with us and continue to share news and photos of your fur family.

I will definitely be staying with TCS. I really can not explain how much comfort and companionship this site has   gave me. My husband works all the time and I have no friends where I live. The friends that I have from my home town .. well everyone know how life seems to happen and it goes from talking everyday to barely talking once a month. I had a miscarriage in June and we had a big move for my husbands work so I have been home without a job since October. I recently got a new job working in home health but I have not started yet so I am normally a loner and dont have much interaction but with my family and my husband. I am so thankful that I can get on here and input on others post and ask questions and receive  answers and have conversations with people who seem to really be interested in what I have to say ... !!!

I agree, this is a lovely site, with so many genuine, caring people. And of course no one ever gets tired of us talking about or posting pictures of our cats.  Until you start your new job you might even have some time to look at the fun threads in The Cat Lounge:  It would be nice to get to know you a bit better in some of the chat there  (as well as the photo section which I know you've found already:-D ).

I hope you like your new job when you start.  I recently left the line of work I'd been in just about all my adult life (30 years) and now work in a shop.  So far so good, I started about 3 weeks ago and the people are so much nicer than where I was before.  It's busy but I'm enjoying what I'm doing so far - never boring. New start for a new year.  I'm reckoning this year will be better than the last one was, and I hope it will be for you too.
