hello i love cats and i love to talk about them and I basically joined to do that as well as see if anyone has any insight on what kind of cat my new kitty is haha. she seems to be part himalayan but i really don't know much else. also i just said goodbye to my cat of 13 years (brown tabby) and this seems like a place where people would understand that pain. so excited to talk about catsssss!!! (

I joined this site about a week or 2 ago and I let me be the first to say the people on this site are wonderful!!! Everyone is so friendly and eager to help or give advice. I have made several friends and I continue to make more. I think your cats are beautiful. Your brown tabby looks alot like my Pikachu. I can only imagine what it would be like to lose him! I sure hope he has a long long full life! Welcome to the site!!!!!

 HI.  Welcome to the site.  Your cat looks very cute and fluffy but I have to confess to being no expert of long hair cats!  Cute and fluffy with lovely colouring and eyes is about as much as I know. I just looked at your other post but didn't offer an answer there due to my almost complete ignorance on long hairs.  I hope you have fun here though, and post loads more pictures.  I'm sorry about your saying goodbye to your tabby.  I had 2 lovely brown tabby girls before I got my current boy and was devastated when I lost them.  At the same time I couldn't wait to adopt my boy Mouse and went through this bizarre period of crying every night on my way home from work not wanting to go home to my empty house without my little Pal there, and at the same time running about like a crazed mad woman telling everyone about my forthcoming adoption and forcing photos on them to ooh and aah over!  I swear I bored everyone to tears before I even got Mouse home with me. Emotions all over the place.  Love that you posted pictures of both the furbabies in your life, and they are both gorgeous.

Welcome to the site! I'm so sorry about the loss of your tabby, what a beautiful cat. We do know the pain of losing one, but I'm so happy you can rejoice in that love and share it with a new one! She is beautiful with those blue eyes! Good luck and keep us posted.
