Hello to all,

So happy to have found this forum as I am a first time kitty mommy. It's been about a year and a half since getting my first baby and the whole time I was just winging it but it's so good to find this site. Since then I've adopted another kitty name Manu who is now 9 months and I'm awaiting another baby who was just born last week. I go see the mommy and baby every week as I'm so excited to get my 3rd baby soon. I've started Manu on a raw meat diet but I'm still new to the idea. Honey is extremely fussy and will mostly eat dry food but loves water and any broth I make for her.

I'm looking to read up on the raw diet everyone is talking about so any suggestions you have please feel free to comment or provide links, I'd be so grateful.

Thanks everyone!!!

Hi, welcome to TCS!  It's lovely to meet you.  There are some members here who feed raw and I'm sure they could offer some excellent advice.  You may want to browse through the nutrition section.

I don't know anything about feeding raw--but wanted to welcome you to the site.  How much longer until you get the 3rd baby?

Hi fellow Aussie!

I've been a newbie cat mum for just over 3 years now, with one big boy, and my girl kitten who is almost 1 year.  The learning curve was huge when I just had my boy - they are both Korats, which is a breed who is high energy, high intelligent, high will, and highly companionable, needing both human and feline company (preferably another Korat to keep up with them and because they 'know their own').  It's much easier now we have his 'sister' for him, but we have also had to recognise that he is just 'special' - lots of wisdom needed!

Anyway, I've found this site immensely helpful, especially as I feed raw.  I also started a blog for Aussies, so that we have a place that references toys and furniture and STUFF that we can get here (http://catstuff4aussies.weebly.com/).  And the other site that I have found invaluable to understand cat psyche and behaviour is this blog: http://www.wayofcats.com/blog/   She also writes a short 101 ebook for cat parents, not pricey, and GREAT.

Enjoy your cats and see you around!

Hi Tammyp,
Thanks so much for the warm welcome. It's good to see fellow Aussie's as there's many topics discussed that doesn't offer options for other countries. I'll be sure to check out your blog though. Thanks and see you around too :-)
