I first noticed it about two months ago but my 8 year old cat has been developing scabs on her neck. Only on the back of the neck it seems like. They dont seem to bother her at all. And shes not itching them. She seems totally fine. The spots start out to be raw and bloody, then they scab up and heal. Then another one will develope in a different spot on the neck. Right now she has three that i could find. Its totally random and shes an indoor cat and the only animal in the household. Shes never had flees and a friend of mine said that if i had flees i would definitely know. Theres no signs of flees. I have all hardwood floors. Havent changed her habitat or any cleaning products. I am absolutely lost and dont know how these spots happen. Its super gross and im afraid for her health. Help!

Hiya!

Hardwood floors do not mean that you have no fleas! Anyway, I would take your cat to the vet. You say it's super gross and you are afraid for her health, so for me the vet is a no-brainer.

Good luck to you both and I hope you find out what is causing this soon.

I would take your kitty to a vet, it could be a lot of different things, ringworm, allergies, skin infections, etc.  A vet visit is in order to get to the bottom of whatever is causing these sores in your kitty.

Hi there. I know this post is old but my 10 year old cat has developed these same sores and I was hoping you figured out the answer. Any help you could give would be so helpful! Thank you.

Hello, I've been having the same issues with one of my cats and now she is losing hair on one if her sides. Vet seems to think it's allergies but having ran tests up know for sure and to what.

Did you ever find anything out?
