An old coworker of mine just had her baby very early. He was born at 23 weeks 4 days weighing only 1 pound 11 ounces. So far, he is stable and seems to be doing ok. This brings back soooo many memories from when my daughter was born at 29 weeks weighing 2 pounds 2 ounces. I could hardly sleep last night, all I could think about was her poor little boy and remembering when my daughter was first born.

I was wondering if we could get some good vibes/thoughts/prayers for her and baby Austin. He's a beautiful little boy and looks really good for being so early. He's a good size for 23 weeks. We may go visit her at some point if he is stable and she's allowed to have people visit him.

I'm not sure what happened, but I just saw on her Facebook that he passed away.

I am so sorry. I can't imagine their pain and grief right now.

Thanks everyone. They are having a visitation and funeral for him. I'm not sure if we will go to the funeral, but will probably stop by the visitation. I'm not good with funerals in the first place, but this reminds me that 16 months ago we could have been in the same position.

My sympathies to your friend. I can't even begin to imagine the heartache they are going through right now. I'm so sorry.
