This may be a stupid question

I've been observing Clyde (1 yo dsh) and sometimes looking at him clean and groom, I've noticed that it looks like he has nipples. Also, how do you really determine the sex of a cat. Could Clyde really be Clydette?

His record says neutered, but I'm really starting to wonder. Should I make a trip to the vet, or can you tell by looking somewhere?

Yeah right, as if he will sit still for that examination!!!!

All kitties have nipples, males and females!! If you arent sure you could attempt a look in his nether regions if he will let you as it quite easy to tell a male from a female if you know what you are looking for! I am sure Clyde is a boy though, nipples and all. I dont think the vets would make a mistake like that but if you arent sure what you are looking for, you could always just ring up a vet to see if they will sex him for you. I am sure they wont charge you as it will only take a second.
