Ok, we're hopefully buying a house. We're supposed to be closing around the end of November, and plan on having finished our move by the 2nd week in December. Now for the question. We're supposed to take a kitten at the end of November. He'll be around 12 weeks at that point. I'm worried about causing Simon too much stress at once. He's only 5 months and is a very mellow guy for his age, but still, that's alot of change in a 2 week period. Should I see if I can get the new kitty a little bit earlier? Put it off until later? Ack. I worry so much about my little furry guy.

I think later would be better for all of you . Think about how much you have to do just packing your stuff together and move . In the same time you need to intro the new kitten to your cat . If you wait to you move then that stress is over and you may have more time for both babies .And hopefully less stress for your cat what you have at home now .

definitly wait, my kitty moved with me to my new place and my fiance and his kitty came too. the new place was very stressful because the kitties had to get used to new surroundings and they HATED each other. for about 3 months, whenever we left the house we had to seperate them. believe me, you don't need that extra stress. get yourselves and your kitty settled in first before bringing a new one home
