It hasn't passed yet, but I am guessing she might have gotten into the stuffing from an old blanket. I realized my roommate had one out and Otter likes to get her teeth on everything.

That's a little worrisome.  We just had a client who had a labrador who swallowed a rope toy have an obstruction and it ended up killing his entire intestines, he didn't make it.  Foreign bodies can be very dangerous.  I'm surprised the vet didn't want to do surgery.

Maybe because it moved? Shes been keeping food down so far so its not completely blocked.

I would have insisted on an endoscopy to possibly take it out.....especially if it's still in the stomach. Was it? A lot cheaper than surgery. Only cheap chance you have in this is if it passes the intestines.

It does sound promising then. It's really good she is eating too. I think you may well dodge a nightmare. Positive thoughts while you are "poop patrol" this weekend.

Yeah got too love poop patrol. Thank goodness she doesn't mind being locked in my room (there are four cats in the house including her). And she's been hungry since the beginning.

I hope you find some foreign whatever in her poop! That would call for a happy poop dance. Sick huh?!  haha...

The biggest thing here to be on high alert for is, suddenly she is unable to keep anything down. As it travels, it has to go through all sorts of turns, curves, all that to get to her pooping it out.

It is able to travel, but at any point it can stop and block her off, which is an absolute emergency, as it cuts off the blood supply where it is stuck and the tissue will die, causing great danger to her if it is not removed fast.

Did the vet give any lubricating liquid or gel to help it pass?

Yes! We were given stuff. And so far throughout the night we have no poop, but my every two and a half hour feeding has proven successful! She just ate (1039am), so we shall see!

When is the last time she pooped? As she is eating, what goes in, at some point must come out, which means food she eats is digested and pooped out, so let's hope you see poop soon :)

Ugh! Praying she'll be okay. You're a good kitty mom for acting fast.

Aww! I'm sorry!! This must be very scary for you! Best of luck at the vet tonight!! Just try not to feel bad or feel guilty; that's always what I do when something goes wrong. Good luck Otter!

UPDATE: 206am. We just got home. When we got there she was severely dehydrated so they put her on fluids. They got an xray and could not find anything just a lot of build up, so they are just hoping she is just really constipated. They wanted to keep her over night with an IV and more xrays, but sadly I ran out of money and I got denied for every option they could give me. I am asking around for money, but I just have to hope and pray she makes it.
