I've recently discovered that one of my cats is allergic to chicken as well and after many hours spent in pet food stores I am using...

Addictions Wild Brush Tail, dehydrated raw, mixed with wet Evo, Beef.

I tried a dried beef product with egg and her skin reacted within a few days.

My other cat does not like the fishy stuff, so I hear your pain!

It's crazy that they don't make healthier and more diverse options for our feline friends, and may I add, at a more affordable price!

Welcome to The Cat Site.
Yeah, kind of makes sense that if your cat is allergic to chicken, he may also be allergic to eggs. Not 100% always the case, but more likely than not I would think.
And yes it's a shame there isn't a greater variety of canned food for cats--and products that are single source protein. You can have a decent canned food that has, for example, venison or beef first and then down the list is something your cat is allergic to, like peas. Sometimes the ingredient is in such a small amount it doesn't affect the cat, sometimes not. It's a matter of trial, error and frustration.
Where do you live (I've never heard of Wild Brush Tail)? If in a different country than the USA, hopefully some of our Canadian/European/etc members will have suggestions.
Have you thought about feeding raw? It can be cheaper than canned food, and you have much better control over what food you feed your cat.

I know one of our European members has a cat with some medical issue, and he has to eat unusual foods.  I think at the moment he eats Kangaroo, Horse, Reindeer something else.  As you can see, not the norm.  We here in the U.S. would be in a pinch to get those, although we CAN get that Addictions Wild Brush Tail...I've actually thought about ordering it to see if my extremely picky girl would like it

Can your furry little one eat Turkey?  Plus, I know of another cat that can't eat chicken, yet organic raw chicken is OK.  Odd, but true.

Yes, mrsgreenjeens raises a good point: sometimes it's not the chicken that is the problem, it is what they are fed. Are there any farmers/butchers nearby--try to find out what they feed their chicken. Corn is a known allergen to some cats.

Fortunately there are more and more sorts without chicken and single protein foods out there.

Have a look at these brands:

"By Nature 95%" (very reasonably priced! Turkey , Beef or Sardine)

Wild Calling (Duck, Rabbit, Buffalo, Turkey, Beef) ,

Hounds&Gatos (Lamb, Pork,  Beef, Trout, Rabbit)  Before Grain (Turkey, Beef)

---those are meat only foods, no peas no nothing but still balanced foods containing vitamins, taurine and minerals

somewhat pricier

Blackwood (Turkey/Turkey Tripes, contains peas) not sure if Pride is meat-only  (Rabbit), Nature's Variety (Rabbit, Venison) and Zwipeak offers Brushtai tool

If you are unsure if your cat likes these flavors, you could kindly ask the companies for sending samples. Some do. Or research an online store that offers to sell single cans. Some do.

Hound & Gatos also has 'Pheasant'.

At $2.50 a can though - that's begins to be rather steep per day for a steady diet.

Nice list though - I'm printing it off for future reference.

edit: It's not on company website - but I just bought a can last night.

Depends on where you buy it. I pay 1.69 US Dollar for Hound&Gatos/per can and even a bit cheaper if you buy a tray online.

You're welcome.   I usually order via Petfooddirect.com  (e.g. H&G Lamb 39.49/24 X 5.5 OZ cans).

NaturalPetMarketplace.com  sells single cans e.g. Wild Calling (no shipping fee!) 1.79 Dollar, I believe. Not sure what else brands they offer.

I have some kitties here having special food needs (allergy/skin, IBD, or just finicky) and try to find a balance between cost/quality. By Nature is the most affordable brand in that range of foods.
