Greetings, I come in peace, first wanting some advice on a loudly "me-yowling" cat (see thread on loud meowing),

but deciding to sign in for the longer term.

We first got into the cat business a decade ago   in France when our young son's friend found a lost cat at the bottom of a stairwell in an apartment building. After a scaredy-cat start, the high-strung Mistigri gradually warmed up and became a part of the family.

We adopted the calm, black and white Guizmo from the local shelter to keep her company a year later.

Then in 2005 came GrayCat, or le Chat gris, a strong-minded Chartreux (we thought he was a Russian blue, but features not that fine)... who talked his way into our home on a cold autumn weekend. See more about him in the loud meowing thread.

So we had 3 cats for several years. Then in 2008 Misti died suddenly one hot summer day, and Guizmo grew frail and diabetic and also died. So we adopted the wonderful friendly Tyson from the shelter. A real jewel. My favorite. Then he  suddenly suffered kidney failure last spring; really a fast decline despite a lot of expensive veterinary care.

So finally little Bella, a young mother that some kindly cat ladies were displaying at the local pet-food saore (they have lost-cat days). She loves going outside and stays away for days, but in winter feels cooped up. Waiting for springtime!

Anyway, we now have just 2 but they are a handful.

See below the wonderful Tyson, RIP.

Welcome to TCS!

RIP Tyson, Misti, and Guizmo :( I am sure they had a wonderful life with you.

Tyson looked so fluffy and soft! And I love how you matched him, clothing wise ;)
