Luckily, I'm taking Belle to the vet on Tuesday for her first appointment/checkup so I will ask them about this then, but I thought I'd ask on here.

About a week ago I noticed a few very small bumps on the back of Belle's ears, which upon closer inspection, appeared to be scabs. I just assumed that maybe she had been itching her ears and her nails scratched them a little. Yesterday I noticed that the scabs had fallen off because there were a couple, tiny little dots of no fur where the scabs had been with healthy skin. Fine. THEN I looked closer at her ears and realized that on the very tip of her ear was a little bump. It's just the size of a pinhead, but it's a bump with no fur and a tiny dot on the middle. The other ear has the same thing on the tip.

I tried searching on the Internet about it, but all I get are ear mites and scary skin cancer stuff. She's not a white cat, and she's only 2 years old, so I'm ruling out cancer at this point. She was treated for mites (at least that's what they said) at the shelter before I got her, along with getting flea meds, so I'm kinda baffled about this... any ideas?

Interesting!  I've never heard of anything like this, but it could be some kind of fungal infection.

Yes, sounds like  ringworm or another fungal infection. Let the vet culture a sample and you know for sure.

Could be some sort of infection.  Is she scratching at her ears a lot?  Cats will do that sometimes with allergies and it can cause the little bumps.
