Fall in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Yesterday we went on the Blue Ridge Parkway and took some pictures.

It was a perfect day, weather was balmy, skies were blue...lovely all around.
The colours are not as vibrant this year because it has rained every day this summer.

It is beautiful. I wish we could get the fall colors here in Southern California, but we don't.

How beautiful Last week I went up to the Allegheny Mountains (another section of the Appalachians) and I took a bunch of pics, but me being a nimrod left my digital at home so hopefully these will scan well. I'll probably go back with my digital though because my scanner is not the best.
