I made up the following chicken recipe and it came out pretty good--

Mango Pineapple Salsa Chicken

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1/2 container Trader Joe's Mango Pineapple Salsa

Pan sear the chicken breasts until fully cooked. Put chicken breasts and salsa into small crock pot and cover with salsa. Heat on high for 30-45 minutes.

Sounds awesome to do for pork too! It's really that short of time in a Crock Pot?

We put it in the crock pot before we went out for our 30 minute walk and then there was a little more cooking time after we came back to make some green beans as a side vegetable, so yeah, 30-45 minutes. Remember, the chicken is fully cooked from the pan searing. Oops, now I see the typo in the recipe. Should read "Pan sear the chicken breasts until fully cooked." Will try to go back and edit, but might be too late.

Yeah, pork sounds like a good match, too.

Gotcha and now it makes perfect sense!

I really like using salsas and such. Makes for easier seasonings. I cut up red potatoes and yellow onions and marinate in Italian dressing and throw in the oven sometimes. Or coat with olive oil and shake them in a bag with powdered Ranch mix. So easy and tasty. And fresh green beans...hardly any seasonings necessary!

I've never heard of them until now. Tell me how you like it once you try it!
