Hey My vet told me that my cat has this vaccine which is feline herpes does this mean she is protected from contacting URI infections (most common)

Hi

The standard vaccine, FVRCP provides good, but not always 100% protection against 2 URIs,  herpes as you mentioned, and Calici virus.  It also provides protection against feline distempter.

Your cat is only at risk of these illnesses if she has contact with another cat who has been exposed.  If you had contact with infected cats then you could spread it to her, but unless you work at a shelter or have some other contact with exposed cats, then you don't have to worry about this method of transmission.

As  mentioned above the vaccine protects again Rhinotracheitis and Calicivirus however there are different types of Upper Respiratory Infections kittens can get that aren't covered by the vaccinations.
