Happy New Year, everyone!

I just read the weather.. we're expecting a blizzard, up to 10" of snow. I am so wishing for a snow-day tomorrow! I could use a day to recoup from the holidays!

What's the weather like near you?

Cars getting stuck on the road, 3 degrees outside. I would take pictures, but it's too dangerous to drive without proper tires.

It is pretty chilly today, at -23 C

No new snow as of yet, though the snow now is pretty slick so had to keep the horse in for a bit. Don't want to risk a broken leg from a slippery field (He has been given plenty of attention and spoiling, at least!) and of course, watch were we walk too and have plenty of salk/cat litter when necessary.

Bunch of snow, really cold, like they are saying -10 and we *might* see 0 by the weekend but don't hold your breath for it. Nothing I like very much!

We're supposed to get a lot of snow tomorrow too.  This new year sure isn't wasting time
Thank goodness I have a couple of different people who will dig me out.  I'm not to good of a shoveler
  Stay safe everyone.

It's cold and a bit foggy here.  We are expecting some snow overnight; I think they said up to 4 inches but it really depends on which forecaster you listen to.  I hate snow anymore. It's pretty and part of me doesn't mind doing a little shoveling; but the driving and even for a few days afterward where there is slick patches...yuck.  No thank you!!

It just started snowing as I was heading back into work from my walk. It's very fine, but it's coming down. I don't know what it will be like by 4:00 and am just hoping the roads will be OK. I just hate driving in this stuff, I really do. Nothing slows me down like snow. I'm sure Rick will be bringing me into work tomorrow morning, so he can drive the Tucson. It's pretty white outside already.....we're in the 6-inch range now.

And it's really windy now, too. Our high on Friday is now down to single digits and our low by Saturday morning will be -3. Nothing like what Linda is seeing, but I hate it anyway. Black ice is just too darn dangerous. You cannot see it until it's too late.

Rick is really good at shoveling and I'll go out and help him with the driveway. We take our time, shovel a bit, then rest a while. But it's still a pain in the butt to do it. And we hate paying somebody to come and plow us out if we don't have to.....that adds up fast. So normally if it's over 6-7 inches, we'll pay somebody....but that depends on how heavy the snow is, too. If it's really light, fluffy stuff, we can sometimes just sweep it with a broom. it's that really wet, heavy stuff that will do a number on our backs.

Cloudy & raining all day.  54 out right now.  We are supposed to get the cold front too.  They are saying 34 for our low tonight, & only getting up to 40 tomorrow.  Lows in the 20's for tomorrow night!

It was hard to get out of bed this morning w/ all the rain, & angel curled up to my side.

From what I heard Pam, it's supposed to be light and fluffy,  in this area anyway.  Thankfully Russ and possibly others will dig me out.  With my legs, I wouldn't be able to do it.  I do shovel when it's a lighter snow but we're expecting quite a bit so I know I won't be able to do it.  I couldn't afford to pay someone to do it either.

I heard that the East Coast of the U.S. is about to be slammed with a big snowstorm--I wish you luck to any of you who might be in its path!

It's 65 and sunny here...

Minus 22, windchill minus 28 right now. We're in a windchill/frostbite warning.

Went to go out earlier and my car wouldn't start, ugh.

9.38pm here in the UK, and it's 46 here at the moment, due to drop to 39 overnight. We had some rain today. Severe gales and heavy rain and flooding forecast for some parts overnight. Actually just looked at BBC news web page and just read this, if anyone is interested. Very severe forecasts, possible life threatening

It started while ago and road is covered.  The grass is on its way.  Going to take cat in soon after dogs go out for night.  He is NOT going to be happy as he is an ex feral and would be out no matter WHAT.  My other outside cat has been in on her own since 3 pm:)

It's been snowing for around 20 hours now, but it's been light so there is only around 3 inches or so. It's picking up now though. It's supposed to end in around 16 hours or so, depending on who you listen to, and we are in the 12-14 inch range.
