Today I :
Looked after my mil shop for the morning.
Exercised. Now I have a whole week of rest from exercise.
Had a visit from my Aunty in law. She has just been on a holiday to Japan. I didn't know that the Japanese are mad for cats. Am I the last cat lady on earth to find out about the cat cafés?? Now i really want to visit Tokyo.

Cat cafes are popping up everywhere! There's one planned in Toronto and Montreal in Canada soon too. If you YouTube search anything to do with cats, the cutest results are almost always Japanese (Pokke is my favourite, but lots of people love Maru too, and this person has a bunch of very adorable and very tolerant cats. I follow this cattery too, lol. it's the same with chinchillas and squirrels. ugh, they have the cutest things, pets or otherwise), and they look like they are the best cared for -- in the city, at least. Black cats are also considered lucky in Japan.

- Rick is going in to pick up the rototiller....the sun is shining, but the garden is wet from all the rain we had yesterday. It can't be helped, though; we need to get it done.
- I'm taking the recycling down to the recycling center this morning....it's all in my car and ready to go. Rick's mom made sticky buns yesterday, so I need to pick our buns up this morning after I hit the recycling center.
- Other than that, it's cleaning and laundry today.
Scooped poop and took the rubbish out.
Went ot work.
Did a shop for basic groceries and household stuff on my way home from work.

Tried to fix the toilet seat which has been sliding about and annoying me - no longer fixable....
Went out and bought new toilet seat....
Brought new toilet seat home and read instuctions only to find I need a tool - spanner of particular size and shape, to fit the thing, so unable to fit it today.
Tomorrow I need to go through the shopping and fitting routine all over again and hopefully get it sorted.
Do a total clean out of Mouse's litter box, and take him along to his vet for annual booster vaccinations and check up as he's been showing a few signs of his herpes over the past week or so.

Oh, my gosh. My toilet seat is doing the same thing and it is soooo annoying! One of the bolts has snapped somehow and the seat will shift suddenly to the right if you move. Today, I did a lot of nothing:
1. Cooked a frozen pizza
2. Hung some laundry to dry (the only productive thing I've done all day)
3. Laid in bed, surfing the net and reading. I'm not feeling too good today.
@happybird I hope you are feeling better today. I hate to admit but your not doing much day sounds like a fairly busy day for me!

Looked for a booklet that tells me what the new breed classification codes are for filling out a cat show application form - found all sorts of things except what I'm looking for....
Sorted out renewing my car insurance and checked when all the servicing and MOT safety certificates are due to be renewed.
Had my hair groomed by Mouse.
I think this may be his return favour for having his claws clipped this morning.

- Taking Bob down to pick up his car at the garage over lunch - it was a faulty cylinoid (solenoid?) in the ignition switch causing the problem. Thankfully the garage had one whatever-it-is in stock, so they said they'd have it ready this morning.

Busy day here. I managed to go shopping for a suitable spanner to fit the new toilet seat.
Fitted new toilet seat to everyone in apartment can now sit on the throne in comfort, not worrying about falling in....
Gave Mouse's litter box a complete clean out and washed the floor around it.

Lol I feel the last few weeks have been brush/comb cat, sweep, clean cat trees. And STILL there are hairballs coming up. And the poor vacuum. Husband caught something in it and has been a bit off since if it runs to long. Need to get a new belt and see if that does it.
