Geesh, Pam.... you HAVE been very busy and I am way behind on all of those things. Today was a play day but tomorrow I plan on getting that cleaning done too. :cross:

Met my daughter half-way between us at an outdoor mall for lunch and browsing. Gorgeous day too!! Took the dogs for a walk this evening.
Got the truck washed, gassed up and oil change.
Did get some laundry and ironing done today.

Lauren, have fun cleaning today! I hope you made it to the library.

I don't plan on doing much today. Did clean the bathroom yesterday and the bathroom curtains, shower curtain, and rugs are in the washer now.
  • I have a kettle of pasta sauce simmering on the stove. Will take out some for dinner tonight and the rest will be portioned for the freezer. Trying my luck with some gluten-free dinner rolls (from the cookbook "How Can it Be Gluten-Free?") to go with our pasta, which is also gluten-free.
  • Wash both Hannah and Clarence this afternoon and vacuum their interiors.
  • When Rick gets closer to home, he's going to call me and he shall meet me at the garage. We are taking Hannah into the garage tonight. She is being repaired this week.

Pam - oh yeah - loads of fun. Actually, I really feel good about things when I am all done cleaning and love the feeling of a clean house!! Vacuumed the whole house and all cat trees. Dusted with a rag using Old English - love it. Knocked out both bathrooms, changed linens, and did three loads of laundry (all animal laundry :lol2:). OH and washed the hardwood floors with Bona, by hand. Love that stuff. THEN, after all of that I went to see the movie - Noah. I was a bit disappointed in the movie. It was good but I don't think it was great. I did not make it to the library !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe tomorrow.

sorry - more than three things. :D

Lauren, I really like Bona. I use it on our wood floor in the computer room and on the kitchen and bathroom floors.

Nothing worked out yesterday. I felt fairly well when I awakened, but I could feel this headache coming on. And sure enough, it hit around 10:00 or so. And that was that. Spent most of the day either on the couch or in bed (with the electric blanket turned on High because I was freezing to death). I got the pasta sauce into the freezer, but did no baking. Got Hannah washed and cleaned, but not Clarence. Managed to get Hannah to the garage.

We ended up at Wendy's last night for dinner. Rick called me when he hit town from bowling (he was in the Erie area over the weekend) and Hannah and I met him at the garage. He took one look at me and said we should just grab some fast food and eat at home. So that's what we did. I did have a container of pasta sauce in the fridge, but that will keep until Tuesday or Wednesday night....not worried about it. I can either make spaghetti or maybe some goulash with it.

Came home, gave the cats their dinner, we ate our dinner, and we spent the night in bed. I was going to make an apple cake to bring into work this morning, but figured that it wasn't worth the calories or the energy. Rick and I watched Mysteries at the Museum and Hotel Secrets and Legends on The Travel Channel, while curled up with Miss Pop. (Well, those were the shows that were on while I was sleeping anyway.)

Still have the headache and probably will have it most of this week before it finally decides to leave.

So......today I must
  • Get through my Monday (I really hate Mondays)
  • Pick up our tax papers (Rick didn't feel like dealing with them, so we went to H & R Block....we're getting a refund!
Rick said that helped to pay for the new computer.)
  • Go for a few groceries tonight

@Winchester  I hope that headache passes without lingering too long.  I feel like I've been holding one off the last couple of days and hoping it doesn't come to anything: I forgot I had a bit of a migraine on Saturday and took stuff for it through the day, then yesterday felt really wiped and didn't know why.  Your post reminded me about Saturday and think I still have the hangover from it...

Today I managed to

Take a nice long shower.

Scooped poop and took all the rubbish and recycling bins out.

Went up the road to local shops and got some milk and 'basic' foods (bagels, marshmallows and chocolate raisins LoL)

Thank you! It's still here, but not nearly like it was yesterday. Yesterday was just nasty. I hope you can escape your headache.

Basic foods???
I like your style. I haven't had chocolate raisins in ages.

Oooo I love chocolate raisins and marshmallows. YEP - that's right. Mix them together for the ultimate sugar high. :lol3: !! Now I have a craving - Maggie!! :lol3: Pam I do hope you are feeling better, I know how those headaches knock you down. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

----------------------

Man - I am SOOO tired tonight and had such a busy day I don't know where to begin. So to spare you all of the nitty gritty

1. Ironed hubby's dress shirts.
2. Long phone call with sister - these phone calls are always at least 1 1/2 hrs. long. I think we are both emotionally exhausted after we hang up.
3. Trimmed six kitties toe nails.

I'm glad you got your 'basic' food in, in case you don't get another chance to shop. ;-)

I went out - just that deserves a cheer.
Went to Tel Aviv and returned some stuff and bought some stuff instead :-(
Walked around a 'shuk' and bought 2 rings which have not been noticed.
Took me out to eat. Eggs benedict. Scrumptious.
Came home with just enough to pay the taxi leaving me with about $1 in my purse.
Lucky we don't tip taxi drivers here.
I gave more than three as I so rarely have anything to say. :-)

@Stewball  Busy day!  I'm glad someone else has been spending....

Today I:

Went to the hairdresser and had my hair cut nice and short again.

Went to a shopping mal to pay my credit card bill and as soon as I paid it I bought lots of sale stuff using up pretty much my month's budget....

Walked down the road to view an apartment to see if it was suitable for my mom to buy but it wasn't.  Oh well, I went for a walk.

-Paid cat rego. ( just for interest sake. Where I live we need to register our animals with the Shire Council and pay an annual registration fee. Its $20.00 per cat. You are only allowed to keep two cats. I have three so I also have to apply for a permit to keep excess animals. That's a $50.00 annual fee. To get the permit I had to have my premises inspected and letters were sent to my neighbours to give them a chance to object.)

-Vacuum the cat hair up from the floors.

- exercise.

Would you mind sharing the recipe for the peanut butter chocolate brownies? Please? Peanut butter and chocolate? Life is good. Thanks! If you want a good Oreo brownie, try Ina Garten's recipe. It's completely decadent, calls for a full pound of butter and all that good stuff. I think one brownie is close to 900 calories, something like that. I've made them and they are delicious. But, man, they are rich. You would only make them for something really special.

I (very briefly) thought about taking the flannel sheets off the bed when I was stripping the bed down on Saturday. I'd freeze to death, though, so after I washed them, I just threw them back on. We have four pairs of flannel sheets, but I use the same ones all the time. Why? Because if I didn't put them back onto the bed, I'd have to fold them. And I have a hard time folding fitted Queen sheets. I can do it, but it takes me forever. Much easier to keep using the same ones.

Really? No corn syrup? What about table syrup, like King's syrup....do you have that in your area?

Cat fees? People around here (Pennsylvania) keep saying that they think cats should be licensed like dogs are. I don't have a problem with it, to be honest. I'd get cat licenses for them, if it was required. I would have a problem keeping down to two cats though. One of my GFs lived in a senior housing facility in California before she died. She kept telling me to come out there to live. But they had really strict rules for the animals....could only weigh so much (only very, very small dogs could fit that rule), very short leashes, only allowed outside for so long, etc. One cat and you had to pay out the giggy for the animal. I couldn't handle it.

Now what happens if your third kitty were to pass away? Would you be allowed to get another cat, even though you're at your maximum allowed? Do they grandfather? (Meaning that if you had six cats when the law was passed, you could keep your six cats without penalty. But if the cats passed on, you wouldn't be allowed to get other cats.) I'm not trying to be crude....honest, I'm really curious how other areas do things regarding their pets.

I am starting to feel better, thank you. But gosh, I'm tired. I know....I keep saying that. But I have been so tired that all I want to do is go to bed and sleep. I wake up and I'm tired. I sit here at work and I want to lean back and nap. And my bones ache. I'm just really pooped. If things don't soon calm down, I may have to see my doctor.

My three (well, two) things:
  • Clean out the litter boxes tonight
  • Four loads of laundry to do (actually five loads....right before I left for work, I was straightening out the pillows on the couch and saw where one of the cats had thrown up on the blanket we keep over the back of the couch, so I threw that down to the washer. I have to wash that, too)

I really don't know regarding syrup is what we do have. I'll check tomorrow at the supermarket as long as I don't forget.
