Call the insurance company about the Tucson and set up a time for the adjuster to come in...I drove the car to work this morning

Must grab a few groceries tonight, basically cat supplies. Rick needs milk. That's pretty much it. There are some items on sale, but I'm hoping to keep the bill down to a low roar this week.

Scoop boxes; I didn't have time to do them this morning

Walked down to a local cafe and met a friend for coffee and cake:  skinny decaf' latte which is my usual pointless coffee, and a slab of cranneghan cake which was yummy vanilla sponge with butter cream and raspberry jam filling, butter cream on top sprinkled with crunchy oatmeal and freeze dried raspberry crumbs.  I think you can tell I enjoyed it.

Wandered back up the road browsing in local shops buying little birthday presents for up and coming family / friend birthdays...

Did a load of laundry which I still need to take out of the machine and hang up to dry.

Good girl. @Stewball

I signed up with a personal trainer. How exciting.

Scratched cat poo off my verandah floor. I have no idea how that happened?

should be doing housework but doing a jigsaw puzzle instead.

Have a planning commission meeting today right after work, so won't get home until late

Scoop the boxes

We might go to Lowe's, depends on how we feel tonight (Rick's parents need a new carbon monoxide detector)

I changed the sheets- I said I was going to do that the other day and I didn't. I felt like I lied to my TCS friends. Sorry.
I washed towels because Cleo peed on the bath mat again and sheets.
Now I'm waiting for a parcel of feliway to arrive to help with the um. Bath mat situation. Poor Cleo she's a bit highly strung like me ;)
The picture is my first delphinium bloom. I have 11 in a row so in years to come they will be so pretty. I'm sure it was this thread we talked about them?

Your delphinium is so pretty, Tammat. They are going to be gorgeous when they're all blooming at the same time. Are you staking them? They get pretty tall, don't they? We are starving for color around here....everything is brown, brown, and more brown. Even the snow is now brown.

Muffin has peed on our bath mat before and we think it's because Mollipop got her cornered in the litter box and she couldn't get out. That made her too cautious for a box, so she peed on the mat. I took the cover off the litter box and that seems to be helping.
  • Hair appt right after work for a root touch-up and a cut (thinking about adding a few more layers)
  • Separated three small piles of laundry to work on
  • Tonight is trash night, so must clean the litter boxes

I just can't get going today. :hmm: I'm still in my pajamas at 11:20. I'm home with a sick husband and a sick cat and I'm starting to cough now too. :hmm:

- Aaron has an interview later today, so I am going to finish getting his suit, shirt, etc. ready
- Laundry, always laundry
- Going to try a very short walk. Maybe it will clear out my lungs.

These are a dwarf variety of delphinium. " magic fountain" I don't think they will need staking. I'm hoping not!!! Cleo got scared when it rained heavily then my husband started packing bags for a fishing trip and she started peeing on the bath mat. She has peed on my husbands pillow when he was away and on his travel bag when he got home. It's his fault!! Feliway fixed it last time i hope it arrives in the post today. I know she stressed so I don't get grumpy about it. She's my fave. ;) AbbysMom AbbysMom I hope you feel better soon. A short walk in the fresh air will help for sure. Take it slow and enjoy. Let the worries melt away.
For me today:
- looking after my MIL shop for the morning.
- going home to cook lunch for myself and do all the morning jobs I haven't done yet.
- I've been without a car for over a week so I need to go do a decent grocery shop. Find something for dinner too.

Have a good day everyone- or sleep if its night time where you live :)

I hope you're all feeling better soon, Karen. And I hope Aaron had good luck with his interview.
  • I got home from my hair appt last night and went to bed. I was freezing cold, tired, grumpy, and sleepy. Didn't even help Rick with the trash; he took one look at me and told me to go to bed. So now I have to do laundry tonight. (It's still sorted and it's still in piles in the hallway. And I didn't even care...figured Muffin could burrow into whatever pile she wanted and take a nap.)
  • A quick vacuum about the living room and kitchen.
  • A quick scoop in the boxes
And that's pretty much it.

Thank you all. :) I'm not coughing as much this morning and Abby seems better. Aaron is home sick again though. His interview didn't go well. His skills don't match what they are looking for.

Today -

Try to walk once it clears up outside
Straighten around the house a bit
Pay bills

Met a friend for juice and cake at Ikea and had a catch up chat.

Wandered round Ikea for hours, scratching my head and pondering over furniture....

Went off to another friend's house for a coffee and ended up staying for tea. Now feeling well fed.

Take Hannah (the Tucson) to the garage for an estimate right after work tonight

Some errands: banking, a few items from the grocery store: avocados, potato chips, and tortilla chips (making guacamole tomorrow!
)

Make a peanut butter hot fudge cheesecake for Saturday night

Got a full day ahead of me, but I'll keep it to 3 things:

1) Chiropractor in an hour, and I can hardly wait.

2) Go to my folks house and, once again, sort through their stuff.  There's 55 years of accumulation in a 7 room house (with a full basement, a 3 car garage, and a shed) that I have to go through.

3) Hopefully, pick up the Mustang from the mechanic last this afternoon and discover that he was able to properly rebuild the carburetor.
