Please please tell me what an elliptical is?
An elliptical is a piece of exercise equipment that mimics a bit of walking and running with a little bit of gravity using low impact. You're not jumping or jogging, but there are placements for your feet and poles for your hands to move simultaneously in an exaggerated walking motion. I think they're the least intense machines you can use at the gym, so they're my favourite.
Since @Winchester's got Buford, it's a good way to get exercise with minimal physical strain.

Today, I have to...

- work

- organize and recopy my notes

- if I have time before the end of the day, whip up a few blend shapes for a character and send the progress to my teacher

Judy, the first time you asked about an elliptical, I had posted a link to a picture of an elliptical for you.

Today:
  • I have a Planning Commission meeting right after work this afternoon. The good news is that I drove myself into work this morning because I didn't want Rick to have to deal with taking me to the meeting. Meetings are boring and I didn't want him to fall asleep!
  • After I get home from the meeting, we are heading to the mall. Rick says he needs a hair cut and I want to look at new shorts and capris and some new tops for work.
  • Some gardening needs to get done tonight, if it doesn't rain. Last night, the skies opened and it poured. More of the same is forecast for tonight, so we shall see what happens. It's really hot and sticky out right now and will be for the rest of the week. With chances of t-storms every night.

Went to the eye doctor.
Had thr the usual check with the eye drops and waited half an hour.
After a very good and thorough examination esd told
No sugar.
No pressure.
Time to remove my cataracts!!!!!!

I'm amazed I didn't just burst into tears. I'm scared. He told me no pressure
When I'm ready to call him.
What do I do? Wait till after my big '0'.birthday in August or what?
All advice will be hlsdky received.
Thanks
My dad had cataracts removed from both eyes, a year apart. It's eerie because you're awake and watching it all happen... he said he felt no pain though, and it was a pretty quick procedure. The doctor he saw literally had an line up of patients waiting to see him every single day, like a conveyer belt. The part that sucks is the getting prepped and waiting.

When I went to go pick him up from the hospital after the second one, he was actually outside and walking around the grounds of the hospital looking for my car. He couldn't drive for a while, obviously, and his vision was iffy right after the surgery but at his six month checkup, his vision was substantially better to the point where the ophthalmologist came and got my mom from the waiting room to show how much his vision had improved because he was just in shock. If you have a few weeks to spare to just sit around and relax at home with some eyedrops, go ahead and do it. We were very fortunate for the positive experience my dad had, and he had no hesitation getting the second eye done after the ease of the first.

Good luck!

I have all the time in the world to sit around. I'm a lazy pensioner. But I'm also a procrastinator. Thank you for your input. It is very helpful. I'll procrastinate a bit longer

Review spending with husband...

Get dinner started

To hot to do much cleaning.  Cats are already sprawled head down on floor.

Laundry - again.

Vaccuumed the whole apartment at last - not done for a couple of weeks and Mouse's biscuit crumbs on the floor were getting really annoying.

Pulled out a pile of clothes from my wardrobe that are office work type and or too small for me and put them in to a neat pile ready to pack in to a suitcase for possible skinnier office job days in the future.

Productive but not exactly an exciting way to spend a day off.

Let's see, for today I have:

Workout - check. Definitely wanted to do it before showering, given how hot it is today.

Laundry - to be done when I'm done getting ready for the day.

Cleaning - have some general cleaning stuff to do. Really need to hit the kitchen / dining room floor. So much drywall dust, ugh.

Ugh, do I have to? I worked an extra 2 hours last night helping my boss with a project, didn't get home until midnight. Sigh.

Well, I really need to do some dishes today. Out of coffee cups, can't have that. I also need to make a run over to the local Bed Bath & Beyond to get a frame for the new art print for my bathroom, which arrived in the mail yesterday. Of course the only one I really like is the expensive one. Typical. Also, laundry (again....ehhh) and I need to stop and get gas on the way home from work. So really that's 4 things but technically the laundry is a continuation of yesterday.

I'm leaving for home at noon today, taking some vacation.
  • Wipe down the bathroom a bit
  • Straighten up the bedroom....I didn't have time to do much of anything in the way of straightening anything up this morning
  • Buy two new sweatshirts

Halfway through the day already, but anyway...

Dishes...washer's almost done already.

Bathroom is so close to being done so it's time to get my new towels ready. :) Throwing them in the wash now.

And later on I plan on either doing some writing or working on my resume...maybe both, if I feel so inclined. For now though, I'm going to go relax for a bit.

Back to work today, so today is my Monday. Got back from Virginia yesterday afternoon and managed to get laundry done and put the house in a bit of sorts.
  • Grab a few groceries tonight
  • A quick vacuum in the living room
  • Scoop (Rick did a very good scooping job while I was gone over the weekend!
    )

Today is my 'Sunday' and still chilling out on my 'weekend'.  Still, need to get myself in to action:

Laundry to do - wash the rugs from my bedroom and the bathroom.

Clean the bathroom.

Vacuum the apartment and while I'm at it seal the vacuum pack bag my winter duvet is in so I can tidy it away....
