I've been not paying attention at all this week, way too much to deal with, my niece had her twins early (30 weeks) by emergency cesarean since she had gone into labor and was fully dilated, to family & visits to the NICU which is an hour away with no traffic and 3 hours WITH traffic.  A good friend's mother died and I'm helping her with all the stuff she has to do before next Sunday when the service is.  Also, I took in 2 new kittens (big ones, maybe 12-14 weeks old) and am getting them spayed tomorrow (2 trips to the spay van, in at 7:30 AM, our probably around 3 PM, and I have my mama and 2 kittens at Petco where I'm going right now in the pouring rain.  I'm not eating badly but I'm not eating on nay kind of schedule so I may go most of the day without eating instead of stopping for breakfast as one should do.  I'm off to Petco and then to my friend's house now.  Welcome back, @AbbysMom
, 8 lbs. over your low is not impossible to deal with, especially at this time of year when there's only one holiday left to deal with before September!
No, not impossible, but I really should lose at least 20 and I am very good at sabotaging myself. :lol3:

:banana1: I lost 2 kg this week! That's 4 pounds! :banana1: I did all my nutritionist said from Tuesday to Monday, but then on Tuesday morning (yesterday) I had a mild breakdown, being "in that time of the month" and having a weird day, so I had an icecream, 250 kcal and 20 g of carbs. I went to the gym in the evening so it seemed I burned it. So today, at my dr's appointment there was a new low, with a total of 5.7 kg (12.57pounds) lost since I started seeing a nutritionist and going to the gym like crazy (mostly cardio). I'll take that. That leaves me with...27.7 kg (61 pounds) to go :lol3: Still, I think I'm on the right path.

Good luck to all of us and I hope that those of us who are still searching will find a way to balance our cravings with a healthy life and weight!
That's great!

After all this excitement ends, I will weigh in again to see if I gained, lost, or stayed the same.  Yesterday I did not eat well so will do better today.  Can only do one day at a time, one pound at a time.

Hi folks, I had a really good week last week!  I lost 3.79 pounds, and am now going to concentrate on not having a swing up this week, and will try to lose - not just stay the same.  I'm so close now to being able to say that I've lost half my body weight from when I began!!

Well done Pat.
I had a good week also. My weight was down a pound and my waist and legs were smaller and my arms were bigger. That's exactly what I'm aiming for.
Good luck everyone else.

I think I'd like to jump in too. I took meds that made me gain weight, another that made me lose weight and then I gained it all back plus some extra. My metabolism was so screwed up. I worked hard and lost 10# but then I had medical problems and had to take steroids. I put it all back on. Now I can't seem to lose it.

I have Crohn's and fruits and vegetables make me sick so I juice them instead of eating them. I've been eating/drinking about 1200 - 1400 calories a day and gaining weight. I recently discovered that since my Crohn's is active right now I need to eat at least 1500 calories to help my body heal or I'll go into starvation mode.

As much as I dislike being overweight, I'll take it over being malnourished like many people in my situation are.

So that's my deal. I'm hoping some support will help me go in the right direction. :)

Congratulations @Pat and @Tammat!

I haven't done that well. I lost 1 pound this week. Well, better than nothing, but I still can't control myself in social situations. I went out with some friends Saturday evening and I had some beer, than a late dinner, but I am working on this.

By the way, how do you deal with your social life? Meeting with friends for a drink means the drink is water or Cola Light? Or going to the movies is just that, movie without popcorn?

A one pound loss works :)  Congrats.  If we have a social situation, I just plan ahead.  I either will just have coffee (if a coffee date) or tea, or if out, plan for it to be my meal or a legal for me snack - checking the menu ahead of time.  Re drinks - if it's my dinner, I can work that into my calories/meal composition.  If just out with no plans to eat, I would have a sparkling water and enjoy seeing whomever.

Congrats on the pound! It's better than a gain.

I go out and I have a drink with friends. I try to go for wine as opposed to the real sugary mixed drinks. If you had the popcorn, I would hold the butter. Peanuts are a better choice.

Do you know which foods are bad for you personally? For me carbs are bad. I do go out to eat and I do have a drink a few times a week, so I also lose at a slower rate. I'm having blood work done tomorrow so I've been super strict this week and lost a bit more. You have to try to balance it. If we get a heavier appetizer or there is bread I can't resist, I will definitely get a salad for my entree and I make sure it is a lighter salad. I'll also cut back a bit during the day if I know I am going out and if I felt I had too much, will try to cut back a bit the next day.

If I don't go out and have a drink or something yummy to eat I start to feel deprived and more likely to go off the wagon.

I must have pizza in the next few days! :lol3: It will be a thin crust pizza, with lean meat and not too heavy on the cheese. I'll only have one or two slices depending on the size and will have a large salad with it.

I'm trying my husband's DDP Yoga videos. Has anyone heard of that? The former wrestler Diamond Dallas Page started this yoga program that involves dynamic resistance to build muscle and flexibility. No weight lifting involved. My husband has been losing a pound a week and is down over 20#.

There is also an eating plan involved. That will be harder for me because some things I cant eat so
I'm starting out with healthy eating and the exercises. Hoping to see some progress this week. I was doing great and then just stopped losing. :( Hoping this jump starts things.

Hi, I have those videos..have been not good at doing them yet, but this is how I expect to tighten up from losing all the weight I have lost.  I didn't choose to do their eating plan, as mine incorporates some of what they recommend anyway, and it's working so well for me (I use the carbohydrate addicts lifespan program).  I think DDP Yoga is a solid, great program.  Good luck!

It was a slow week, but after the 3+ pounds I lost the week before, I expected a slow week.  I did lose though - .64 of a pound :)  Overall total weight lost  is just a tic under 177 pounds.

Good work as always Pat

I lost 100grams. That's a tiny amount but I'm taking it. This week I am not training/ exercising all week so Im trying to get away with eating less. Oh I also have gone over six weeks without eating sugar. That for me is the greatest accomplishment.

We can all do this. It's not easy but we are worth it.

I am so happy for those of you who are winning this!

I had a good week. I lost 1.9 kg, about 4 pounds. I took @Pat's advice and went out with my friends, having tea or coffee and water. It was totally new for me, as I probably was the one who drank most (beer, that is). But it was fine. I enjoyed my tea and their company.

I had an urge last week to buy shrimps and trout (frozen) so I asked my nutritionist to put me on a fish diet this week. Must be my body trying to tell me something,  as I wouldn't normally eat fish if given other options.

@Tammat : why aren't you training this week? You don't want to or you can't?

Well done! :clap::clap::clap:

I'm up a little over half a pound as of this morning. I'm not shocked. There were way too many parties, restaurant meals, etc over the past week. Yesterday was actually up almost three pounds, but one day of normal eating got rid of some of the excess. :)
