Welcome. Welcome. I've been maintaining here for a little while but I'm afraid I went a bit berserk on sugar last week and my jeans are feeling snug this morning. Back on the wagon for me.
We all do our own thing and have a weigh in on Mondays. You don't have to share your weight but of course you can if you want. Ive begun learning body building so I'm now going by my waist measurement and actually trying to gain weight. It's a bit hard to get my head around.

Actually today is Monday here so I will confess my waist is 2cm larger. I am annoyed at myself. Yesterday I got really organised for the week so I'm determined to make it a good one.
Good luck everyone.

I lost 2.89 pounds this past week, for a total lost now of 164.83 pounds.  I am excited at how close I now am to being in the 100s (less than 4 pounds!!).  My 3 year anniversary of when I got serious about my weight and health is coming up June 1st.  I hope to be in the high 190s by then.

Thank you for welcoming me.ive already lost about 20 pounds since I had my son and I'm down to a descent weight but I'm looking to improve and hopefully feel confident again. My self esteem is pretty low. I just want to feel good about myself

That's a good achievement.  You may also feel better just with eating better.  I know when I was eating poorly it just impacted everything.

Thank you Pat. I've definitely felt lighter on my feet when eating right but that's the hardest part for me. I've been bike riding but not sure how much that helps burn fat and calories. And today I've been munching on junk just trying to get through the day. I hate that I've lost my LILO.and my son who is about to turn 3 keeps looking for her and I try to explain that she's in the sky but he doesn't quite understand.they had a special bond. I'm just venting now. Sorry everyone

I would like to join.

I have severe iron (infusions of iron every 3 of 4 weeks) issues. I also have severe thyroid issues. Trying to get that under control.

I don't own a scale... so weighing in will be hard except when I go to the doctors.

I'm still here..where is everyone?  I didn't have the best week in terms of daily weights - was up then down up then down.  But overall, my 7 day average is down .20 of a pound.  I'll take it!!

I was able to walk for 2 hours yesterday without sitting down, while touring a 26 acre area of rhodie gardens, bonsai etc. This would not have been possible last year this time.
Go pat go. Remember as you lose a lot sometimes it takes longer to lose and it's only a little. That happens. But you lost and walked. Well done you of strong ideals.

 Yay, Pat! Congratulations!

Welcome to the new people on the thread!

Icey Bolt, I'm very sorry for your loss. We all know how difficult it is when one of our precious furkids go to the Bridge. It's hard. I'm sorry.

Once again, my head is not in a good place anymore. And I don't know what to do. I've gained a bit of weight and I care, but not enough to actually do anything, I guess. I'm lost. I continue to check in to see how it goes with you all. I check in with the Exercise thread, too.

All I can say that may be of encouragement, is that it took me a long time to find what would work for me both for losing and maintenance.  I love to cook, I love family (as I call them "heritage" recipes) recipes and we love to eat out.  It's been a challenge to figure out how to amend the way I eat and still be able to do those things I love.  You'll find your answer, just keep what works, discard what doesn't and keep adjusting.

I saw a 1 as the first number of my weight today.  I can't begin to explain how wonderful it is to see that for the first time in about 28 years.  60 lbs. to go to my goal weight, 168 lbs. lost.  Of course, this is just a single day weight, and I only list my weight as an average, but I saw it for today...and I will now see it more and more until it is always :)

Oh Pat who cares if it's a single weight day. :woohoo:
That's awesome. Keep smiling. It's really happening.
