You don't know cold until you've lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada, where I live. Especially this morning, December 31st! The North Pole had beach weather compared to us!
Here is a link to a metric/standard converter. I have it set on temp, but as you will see, it will convert volume, length, etc. You can even convert Light years into millimeters.I haven't even gotten out of bed yet, but the weather site says it's -4 here and it won't get above zero today. . .I have to go find a celsius converter. . .it says that -4 fahrenheit is -20 celsius. So a little warmer than yours, but still colder than the north pole, LOL. Ugh, I don't want to get out of bed. . .
I just looked at the long-term forecast and tonight's low is going to be -17 (-27c) and the HIGH next Monday will be -10 (-23c). Ugh ugh ugh.
That sounds like you may have been in our favorite spot of Colorado - Gunnison.
I've worked on a ranch in Colorado down to -36F, which is -38C. Then I got smart and moved south.
Ooops sorry. I forget that a few places don't know Celsius. Here is an online conversion:I have to go find a celsius converter.
I bet that is the winter we actually had no school because it was below -40. I was living in Upstate New York at the time. A couple parents in the neighborhood had minivans and they'd park at the bus stop and let all us kids sit in them to keep warm. One day my friend and I were late so we were running to the bus stop; her eye watered and the tear streak froze right to her cheek.
I can't handle it; I just can't handle it. Rick always says that people who like the cold don't have to go outside to deal with it.
I don't know how you handle it. One time, back in the mid-90s, we had an insane (to us) frigid streak. And our lows were like -26 F for two days straight. We never got our of the minuses for two days. It was just ridiculous. And we had a ton of snow that year, too. Our yard looked like a lunar landscape with the way the snow got blown around. We were parking at the bottom of the driveway and we had a one-person width tunnel dug from the bottom to the top of the driveway.
I know that our high this coming Friday is to be something like 15 degrees. It won't be fun walking, that's for sure. I could not handle sustained temps as low as what you deal with.
Nope, Kiowa. The other way from Denver.

It's 65 right now here in Dallas. I had the little hot rod out for a ride, and it doesn't have any heat in it.
We woke up on the Texas coast to 42°F (5°C) .. but we're headed up to 63°F (17°C) so I can't complain!
