I know that it means that she can be sick or ill in some way..but would I be able to see her third eyelid all the time like when she's looking at me or walking around? I'm asking this because yesturday I noticed while she was laying on top of me I was petting her to sleep when I touched her near her nose she opend her eyes slowly and I was able to see her third eyelid so I waited awhile and then did it again and saw her third eyelid again..I don't see her third eyelid when she's looking sraight at me only when I pet her near her nose and she will close her eyes and open them slowly then I see it..is this something to worry about??? Does this mean she can be sick? I never delt with anything like this any advice is appriciated

Oh and by the way she is 6 months old, spayed, and up to date with all her shots. Eats normal and drinks her water

It's normal to see it sliding away when a cat or kitten wakes up, but once she's awake it shouldn't show.  Sounds like she's fine.

If she's eating normally, drinking normally, using the tray normally and playing normally she's probanly fine.  Just checked with my healthy cat whose come for a cuddle, his membrane comes up if I touch his nose.  I believe it will be to protect his eye if something nasty is about to happen.

I agree. It's very normal when their drowsy to see the third lid. But once they give that big yawn and stretch you should no longer see it.
