Hey, guys!
I've got a every pregnant cat on my hands, I'm not sure when she conceived but I have been able to see the kittens moving around in her stomach for about a week now.
Two days ago, she vomited... a lot but stopped there.
Last night she was dragging her bum across the floor and then licking her vagina consistently, & then she would repeat herself. Today, she's done a LOT of sleeping, and trying to get into closed off bedrooms(She has a nesting box set up in a quiet part of the house, don't want kittens born under a bed). I've been watching her the last 45 minutes and her stomach has been doing this rippling thing, and I can see the kittens doing backflips. Is there a thing such as... early, small contractions, maybe? she was sleeping with her hind leg propped up against the couch but still nothing. Can someone tell me what the ripples were, please?

They are the kitten moving around and kicking. The same as what happens in humans when babies kick :D

I've been at lots of kitten births but never seen a contraction in mom cat. They seem to hide to well but you see them straining and pushing

That said, precontractions may happen, itsnt unusual.

You have probably some days left yet - you can usually feel them move two weeks before delivery. If you are used with palpating somewhat longer.

But the exact time or hour is impossible to know.  Its a waiting game!

Keep reporting and asking!

Do you have suitable links to read on?

Good luck!

I've read just about every link there is to offer lol! I've dealt with cat birth a few times before, with my moms cat a few years ago and just recently my sisters cat (they all call me the cat midwife lol) but every cat is different so that's why I'm concerned about everything Lola (my queen) does. Thank you's for the replies & I will be sure to update.

Also the kittens have not stopped moving for about 10 hrs, like they are non stop playing basketball in her belly. I've seen one completely turn in her belly (looked like it was trying to escape lol) a couple times, but the only time I haven't seen them moving is when stands up, which has been rare today lol. Is this normal? I've never seen active kittens like this

In the very end of the pregnancy they do move down into positions. It is tighter there, so they dont move as much.

Thus is my guess the delivery is NOT immediately coming yet.

Holding thumbs!

Remember some cats can get pregnant again very soon after delivery - feeding kittens is no protection.  You also can't afford her to have an accident while she is feeding tiny kittens so keep her in until she can be spayed.  Talk to your vet to find out how soon they will do it.

She got pregnant because I let a cousin watch her while I went on vacation and she had told me her male was fixed, it's clear now he wasn't. My male is fixed and I'm looking into getting Lola fixed when the time comes :) thanks for the advice!

I had thought so too until I read that some kittens do a "dance" before labour, so now I'm unsure!! Damn mixed signals lol. thanks for the comment!

Hope you've told your cousin he was wrong about his cat - unless he accidentally let her out and didn't tell you...  The 'right time' is as soon as your vet will spay her, but if it's more than 10 weeks after the birth I'd be looking for another vet.

Lola has been very tired today, and hasn't given much attitude to my other cat she is usually pretty feisty with. Kittens haven't been very active, & she has only nibbled away on some food. I just want her to squirt these little buggers out already so I can stop being so anxious!! lol

Okay I'm a little anxious right now!! Lola has this certain smell to her, best way I can describe it is a sweaty buttcrack (lol) and she keeps crying constantly. Still no contractions or discharge though, can someone help me out?

How is it going?

Do you have access to a vet, who is willing to answer telephone questions?

I do hope its normal, probably beginning of labor, as it is about time now.

.  But I dont know.  I myself would probably phone to my vet in this situation.

They know what follow up questions to give.

Cat deliveries are in average shorter than human deliveries, so we dont like long, unfruitful labors.

Especielly not with following kittens.

Sending *vibes!*

Good luck!

The smell has gone away.. I think she has just stepped into a bad spot in the litter box lol. She's been very restless and now she's just laying in her birthing box.
