So my cat mylo all of a sudden has been peeing on my floors and wont pee in his litter box. I thought maybe he needed a second litter box so i went out to get one and It still hasent helped the situation, i havent noticed him acting weird except he meows more but it dosent sound distressed. The urine spots im finding dosent smell like spray and arent huge spots getting wet just small areas. I know there is a few wild cats that  come around every now and again but they dont stick around. besides that Im not sure whats going on idk if its a mating thing or a UTI or something. Im asking here instead of goign to the vet right away  because I dont have much money and cant afford the bill for a vet right now.

What does it sound like to you

any way to stop him

what should I do

please help!!

Hi
I am sorry you are going through this.

is he neutered? If not, that is something you need to get done as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, regardless of whether he is neutered, a good first stop is definitely the vet.  You need to rule out a medical issue and only a vet can help you do that.  If he needs antibiotics there is nothing you can do at home and the problem will just get worse.

I know this isn't exactly what you hoped to hear, but get him to a vet, and if necessary get him neutered.

good luck getting this taken care of.

He is telling you that something is not right with him.  Any inappropriate elimination or sudden change in behavior indicate a trip to the vet to rule out an infection.  He most likely has a painful urinary tract infection and needs to be seen by the vet immediately.

sure he needs to be neutered no big deal  don't wait.If he's going very scanty and often then I would consider cystitis

it can be very dangerous in males and needs medication soon If it is cystitis it will spread to the bladder.See your vet...... Sorry!

Is he peeing (squatting) or spraying (standing)?  If squatting then vets ASAP.  Actually if he is standing vets ASAP to get him castrated, though unfortunately once male cats get the habit of spraying catration doesn't always stop the habit.
