Hello everyone! I'm Miki. Mommy thinks I'm a Snowshoe mix of some sort, but I think I'm just a cool cat. :)

I'm an only child right now, but Mommy is thinking about adding one of those big creatures called "dogs" to the family. What are dogs, exactly?

Mommy adopted me about a year ago. I was severely underweight and my beautiful coat was quite matted and dirty! The shelter says I was found in a junkyard. Let me tell you that that was not a great place to be. Luckily, I have recovered, as you can see.

I hope to meet many other paw-some kitties here and make some new friends!

Four paws up,

Miki

Hi Miki.
You are right, you are a very cool cat, and yes - pawsome.  I love your face colouring and those wonderful ears of yours, they must be great for hunting toys, and finding mommy when she's hiding from you and trying to prepare yummy food without you knowing.  You must be getting some yummy food because you are looking very healthy and well cared for.

Don't worry about mommy thinking about getting you a dog to play with.  Dogs do bark and make a bit of noise but you will be able to play with your toys and train this dog to bring them back for you, chase it around when you want to play, and it might even let you snuggle in when you fancy a warm bed. Unlike human mommies, dogs have nice furry bellies to snuggle in to.  You will need to make sure mommy doesn't get too jealous if you like snuggling in to a new fur friend more than her.

I am looking forward to seeing more posts from you and finding out what you get up to, how well you have your mommy trained, and if you get a new playmate to train up too.

Hahaha, that's great (training the dog).

Thank you for all of your purr-fect welcomes!

MServant~ Thanks for the advice! Mommy said she would set up some comfy hiding spots for me, like on top of the bookshelf or under the bed, so that I can hide if I get a little overwhelmed by the barking sound. They can be SO rambunctious, can't they? Unlike us kitties, always quiet and peaceful (Except when we want attention, of course.) Also, thank you for the training advice. I just HATE walking across the kitchen floor just to get my favorite toy. Too much work for me! I'll make the dog do it.

betsygee~ Training sounds like a breeze to me! After all, I believe I've trained my mommy pretty well.

Angels mommy~ Thank you! Angel must be lucky to have such a purrfect mommy.

Good thinking! You will have a dog for an assistant!

We all know kitties are the bosses anyway.  Like when my little boy is meowing at me to hurry up while I'm fixing his food,

I say, "It's coming boss kitty, coming right up!"

Ooh, pawsome Miki I nearly forgot to check if your mommy had seen the nice human training article on this site about how to introduce cats and dogs!  It should help you train her up and give you the best chance of training any new dog coming in to your family.  This is the link in case you want to give her some homework to do when she is finished tending to your needs at the end of the day.

Thank you cprcheetah! Angels mommy: Oh, I can totally relate to Angel. I have to meow A LOT and even paw at Mommy's feet until I get my food. What can I say? I love my food.

MServant: Mommy did steal the computer from me and wrote a thread  about introducing me to the new dog. But I will definitely give her that homework because my paws are not being stepped on by anybody! Thank you so much for the link!
