Its going to be two weeks on saturday that I got my spayed and I was wondering if her incision was healing properly. Molly is a very active cat, I've tried my best to not keep her very active the first week and the paper the vet gave me said she could do all her normal activities again with out having to be watched over as much. I want to take her to the vet on Monday if its not looking any better but I'm not sure my parent will want to take me. Also I don't want to go to the vet just to be told that everything is alright.

This is what her incision looked like on Wednesday night.

And this is what it looked like Thursday morning.

It looks pretty much the same today./: Any help will be appreciated.(:

It looks pretty normal too me, but i'm not a vet and others may want to weigh in.  It is not normal if it is leaking fluid, or goo, or pus or blood or if the sutures are separating in any way or if redness is developing around the incision.  If she is licking it a lot that could damage the sutures or possibly open the site, so you would want to monitor her behavior.  But if there are none of the bad signs listed above and the incision seems intact then she should be fine.

Looks like she may have been licking it. Is she wearing a cone? My kitty ripped her stitches out 3 days after spaying. I had refused to use a cone. Took her in and vet said to just put neosporiin on it. It healed nicely. Didn't have to go back in to get the stitches removed....lol

I was thinking that too.): No she doesn't have a cone cause I thought she would freak out if I put one on her. It's good to hear your kitten recovered well after pulling out her stitches.c: My kitten didn't have any stitches they used glue to put it back together.
Her incision used to look like this a few days after the surgery.

I think it looks fine.  I wouldn't worry about the cone if she's not actively licking it or biting at it.

IMHO, it should be a lot more healed up at this point.  Usually by about 10 days the skin is completely closed up and healing.  It looks to me like it is still a little bit open.  You may want to swing her by the vet for a quick look at it just to be safe.

Yeah I know.): I'll most likely take her on Monday if it doesn't seem to be getting better.
