I'm doing my favorite:  a chuck roast in the crock pot with potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, and lots of onion.  I'll probably have some brown rice with it.  Sweet and sour roast...that sounds interesting.  Is it similar to anything else you've had, @Winchester?

I've had tuna loaves on my mind and will probably make some in the near future.

You're going to turn into a pot pie, LOL!  And I'm going to turn into a pot roast.
LOL! )

these are pot pies that i've had in the freezer for a while, so they need using up. plus, i'm currently in "blackbelt frugal" mode -- getting the remainder of my roof done this fall, then starting to save for next years goals.

Nothing - unexpectedly ate a mid-afternoon reward meal out (husband checking a place he wants to take a higher up whose visiting work this week).  I had a sandwich with grilled chicken, sliced tomato, 4 pieces fried jalapeno and a couple of red onion straws, a mayobased sauce, instead of fries, had sautéed asparagus.

If I get hungry tonight I'll have some pickles!

We are having fish my husband caught again tonight. Veggies will be corn on the cob, carrots, green beans and Brussels sprouts. My husband batters the fish and shallow fries it and the veggies are boiled and steamed. I'm consuming 400 less calories a day this week and I'm hungry.:sigh:

Roast lamb with roast potato, sweet potato, parsnip and another steamed veg, maybe Brussels sprouts and some roast meat gravy. Our families favourite.

Some sauerkraut imported from Germany, a real wiener from the German deli and a hotdog bun with brown mustard. It tasted like home. Afterwards, on my Patio, I had what I call an "Imitation MaiTai" which is half Bacardi brown rum, lots of ice, fill up with pineapple/orange/ guava punch, a maraschino cherry and a teaspoon of the cherry juice and I can dream I'm in Hawaii. Two cats were keeping me company sitting on patio chairs but without MaiTais. The closest thing to paradise without the expense or the travel with the accompanying jet lag.

I don't know, something with ground beef as that's what I got out of the freezer last night. Rick wants barbecue.

I love cream crackers with butter. Mmmmm! I want some now.

I think I am going to make teriyaki beef stir fry tonight. I will have to make Aimee something different, she doesn't like it. I want something simple that I don't have to turn on the oven since today is going to be brutally hot (41C or 106F).

I had no idea it got that hot in Canada ever. No wonder everybody wants to move here because of the weather and we get overcrowded and don't have enough water.for this many people.
