Home-made pizza with spinach and kale on it that I sauteed in some garlic and olive oil!  I put it under the cheese and sprinkled a few mini turkey pepperoni I had leftover from making pasta salads recently.  The sauce was the last of the one I made earlier in the week too.  Happy belly!!

We have a wedding today, so whatever they serve. I've been told it's chicken.
Wedding food is usually yummy. Did you enjoy it?

We had chicken breasts, cauliflower, carrots and Brussels sprouts. The more I eat Brussels sprouts the better they taste. I just love them :D

We're growing Brussels sprouts again this year. Rick hated them. Hated them, I tell you!
He didn't want to grow them last year and he certainly wasn't going to eat them when I prepared them. And then I roasted them and topped them with just a wee bit of Parmesan and a little pancetta. We're growing them again this year and it was HIS idea!
I love Brussels sprouts and while, Rick doesn't love them, he does like them. Now.

Vegetarian vegetable soup with some strawberry muffins is our dinner tonight. The last of the vegetable soup from the freezer; I'm waiting on the corn to get ready to make more soup now.

I took some pasta sauce from the freezer. I have some gluten free lasagna noodles. So I am putting that together with some ricotta cheese, etc. Probably a salad to go with it.

It wasn't very good actually. It was caesar salad, farfalle pasta with alfredo sauce, chicken stuffed with an asiago cheese and spinach mixture and topped with asiago cheese sauce, mashed potatoes and a stack of veggies and mini tiramisu and mini eclairs for dessert. The caesar salad was really good but nothing else was very good even though it does sound good. There was also pizza and poutine (fries with cheese curds and gravy) at the late night buffet. The pizza tasted like vodka to me and the gravy on the poutine was cold and not very good.

I love brussels sprouts. Yum! We are off to the in laws soon to get Aimee and our dog, they had them both overnight since we weren't home. We will stay there for dinner but hopefully my mother in law isn't planning on using the bbq because it's been storming now for about an hour.

I love roasting brussels sprouts in balsamic with some seasonings.

Tonight is spinach pies and pizza strips that we picked up at an Italian bakery yesterday.

The Pioneer Woman had something like this with brussels sprouts on her holiday show.  She roasted them, then reduced down the balsamic vinegar so it was like a thick glaze.  She added dried cranberries to the brussels sprouts and then tossed them in the glaze.

That would be yummy! I'll have to try that.

Ham on the grill tonight. With grilled yellow squash planks brushed with a bit of apricot-orange preserves (my GF made it and it's great for grilling! She didn't really make it for grilling, but it works). And (maybe) some corn on the cob, if it's ready to be picked.

Left over pizza as Mom is stopping by and bringing one:)  I am about to start pacing in anticipation as it sounds like the best thing in the world!

Oh, man, beef stew sounds so good! And that eggplant parm looks wonderful! I am now starving!

We have a lot to do tonight and won't get home until later. I'm thinking of a simple omelet for dinner. It's quick and easy.

We are going out for dinner tonight for my birthday. I'm glad because I am way too sore to cook today, my back is killing me.
