Out for Thursday night margarita special at our favorite Mexican restaurant. I have a taste for shrimp fajita's. We always split most dinners and that will be plenty for both of us. Plus, they always give you the complimentary chips/salsa.
:
I love the complimentary chips and salsa. We found a green salsa at the grocery store that tastes exactly the same as the one at the Mexican restaurant we used to go to. I could go for Mexican food right now.

We are invited to my MIL for Salmon. I'm taking dessert. self saucing choc pudding and golden syrup dumplings. Old Australian favourites. They may originate from elsewhere but I've grown up eating them.

Chicken fajitas
We had those on Wednesday night. Yum!

Mrs. B, I've been wanting to grill so badly. I have a huge pork shoulder and want to make pulled pork. The grill is cleaned and ready to go; I worked on it last weekend. But it's so windy around here that there's no way I could keep the burners going for five hours. Very gusty and it won't stop. I wanted to do our pork chops on the grill last weekend and couldn't keep the burners going then. It's terrible outside.

I'm going to Tammat's MIL's house for salmon (and those dumplings sound really good, too).

Rick said last night that, since we're going to run errands this morning, he'd take me out for breakfast. I just love going out for breakfast. But that will be it then for the day....I might make some BLTs for dinner tonight. But nothing fancy.

I couldn't take it anymore.  I baked the ham intended for tomorrow.
Ah well.  It's 12 lbs so I'll have it tomorrow too.

I forgot to get anything out of the freezer yesterday.

Around 5:00, Rick asked me what we were doing for dinner. Oops. So I ran downstairs and took some beef out of the freezer. Microwaved it just enough to be able to slice the meat. Browned it in the pressure cooker, added lots of onions and a few cloves of garlic. And I made beef stroganoff in the pressure cooker. From the microwaving stage to plating the food, it took me about 30 minutes or so. We had the stroganoff over some egg noodles and I made peas with thyme as a side. I love my pressure cooker.

Well done.
If it's so quick in the pressure cooker why do you use the slow cooker?
