I'm Mosi and I'm 1 year old. My mom and dad got me from Visilis Maine Coons in Raymore, MO. I'm an only child right now, but looking forward to gaining a sister from a local rescue. I love attention and I'm always begging my parents to play fetch. Mom says I need to exercise because I eat like a horse! I'm recovering right now from surgery due to eating my favorite fetch toy....an elastic headband. I have to wear a cone till my stitches come out next week. I can't wait to get back to normal and aggravate my parents.

I hope you recover from your surgery soon so you are no longer subjected to the indignity of the plastic cone!

Oh, no, not the plastic cone!  I'm glad you will be back to your normal self soon.  Ask your mom to post more photos of your cute little self!

 Welcome to the site!

Poor little Mosi! So sorry you had to have an operation and hope you recover quickly.
Are you having to stay in a crate while your belly heals?

No crate. I've already been jumping on counters and tables even though my mom put my tree away for now. My mom is home 24/7 and takes off my cone when I eat and lets me groom a handful of times. These stitches sure itch and I can't help attacking them. I'm perfectly fine except for this darn cone!

Welcome to TCS!  Hope you recover quickly from your surgery.  I have a cat who likes to play with elastics but she doesn't eat them.

The headband is made of elastic with little rubber dots (probably so won't slip when on head) and 3/4 in wide and a total of 15 inches around. It's been a"toy" since she was 10 weeks old. She just turned 1 year. I never thought she would eat it....ever! She has never chewed or gummed her toys. She plays with her paws and fetches. I'm still in shock from seeing it layed out on the operating table.

She ate the whole thing, all 15 inches? Did you see her do it? Poor little girl. Poor you! It's nice that you can take the cone off and she'll let you put it back on. She doesn't eat like a horse, she eats like a goat.

I didn't see her swallow it. It made a cool slingshot...I could shoot it across the living room and down a long hallway into a bedroom. She enjoyed fetching it. She is cool with the plastic cone. I let her groom often throughout the day.....gotta be right by her cause she goes right for the stitches eventually.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!
