Is there anything else besides water that cats can drink?  I'd like to give my kitty something other than water as a treat.

Any ideas?

Just last night I took a can of tuna and dumped the whole thing in 3 cups of water. I let it soak and then poured out into Ice cube trays. This morning I put them into storage bggies, leaving one out per kitty to add to their canned food. I let them sit in a bowl that was sitting in another bowl of hot water to let them melt (sport of double boiler w/out being on the stove top).
Three happy kitties this morning! ^o^

There are various brands of cat milk you could try, e.g., Whiskas Catmilk or Cat-Sip Real Milk. It contains a lot of calories, but is fine as an occasional treat.

You can also give chicken broth as long as it's low-sodium (check labels or make your own).

I wondered if low sodium was all right. I've found as low as 8%,but I was searching for no sodium.

Most commercial chicken broths have onion in them. Some of them will not outright say "onion," but it will be included in "natural flavoring," or "spices."

I remember seeing ads for flavorings for pet water. I'll run some searches and let you know if I find anything.

Goat milk is always OK,  nourishing too.   You can try and water it down some, if you want, so they get less calories.

Some cream in drinking water.  Or some juice from canned tuna with the drinking water.

Youghurt is good too, almost as good as goats milk.  May be used as basic probiotics too.

Just make sure it is common, not flavored, not sugared type.  May be full fat.

Low lactose milk can be an alternative for the  Kitty milks like Whiskas is doing - and a lot cheaper..

[ps.  This was my post nr 7.000]

The only pet flavored water reference I found was this, and the link for the manufacturer (Mollie Brands) in the article leads to a page that says the website is "temporarily unavailable."

I think the other suggestions for goat milk, tuna water, cream, etc. are good solutions. Possibly Mollie Brands went out of business because everyone figured they'd just make their own tuna water or use goat's milk.

Interesting ideas, thanks!  I keep forgetting to look for cat milk when I am at the pet supply place.

Goat's milk will probably go bad before I'm even close to using even a quarter of it.  I don't want to waste anything, and I surely won't use it myself.  I can't stand the stuff.

What kind of cream?  Is that a stupid question?

Plain yogurt is at least something I know I could get and still use for myself.
