Some of you may have seen my other thread. Something was not seeming right about Rexy - she was not healing from what we thought was a lung infection. I thought her abdomen had some minor distension and that had me panicked so I took her into emergency clinic. We xrays lungs and tummy (just to ensure nothing wrong in tummy - distension was not really too bad but quite minor as it turns out). Inadvertently, we saw that appears to be a moderate sized tumor (not sure where it is residing so need ultrasound).

I'm close to breaking. Had a rough time in life for several years due to some truly catastrophic events in 2009, so this is unbearable news.

And with xmas holidays, my primary vet is on holidays for 2 weeks, my at-home vet that I also use is away for 3 weeks. Difficult to even get ultrasound done in any timely manner. I have so many questions that I need to ask you all, but right now all I can think about is that I am losing my precious girl.

Truly my worst xmas ever. I want this to be a bad dream.

Desperate, I am so sorry.  It is awful when you can't even see your usual vets and everything you need is closed, my cats seem to have a habit of doing this, though thankfully my current boy has reserved his disasters for other times in the year.  May you get the detail and confirmation of exactly what is going on and what can be done for your cat as soon as possible.  I am aware you have a number of threads just started and things sound especially hard.  Please hang in there; treasure those cats of yours and hold them as close as you can. Believe you are doing everything you possibly can for them and that they know how much you love them.  Do what you can to keep Rexy comfortable and concentrate on what positive things you can do right now, keeping her warm and nourished, feeling safe and loved.

Lots of good vibes and hugs for you and your fur family.

Thank you.

It is 6am and still up. I was at the vet clinic until about 2:30am. I almost don't want to go to bed and then have to wake up to face the reality of this mess.

It is 7am and I still am not asleep. I was at vet clinic until nearly 3am and now I am just anxious. I don't want Rexy to hear me crying, but I am just so upset.

.Big hugs, so many of us have been at least part way to where you are right now and having it all together is too much. I swear I bathed my girls in tears when they were sick; go hug them. They'll be more confused if you stay away from them and you will feel better at the touch of their fur. It's so easy to say don't worry but so hard to do.  You keep caring for them and loving them and make use of everyone around you who can support you through this. Please take care of yourself too, and make sure you eat a little, drink some water so you keep hydrated.  And know people are right here willing everything to pull together and start getting better for you all, to listen and understand what you're going through and help in any way we can.

Oh, I am so, so sorry.   It was so kind of you to "reply" to just about my first posting here and then to see what you have going on with your cat and she is so beautiful looking.  Wish you nothing but the best, both of you.
