Unfortunately, they also brought us another Christmas gift--a live mouse!  Which I have yet to catch....it's hiding under a bookcase at the moment.

Then Travis went around to the other end of the credenza to check things out and there were Ozzy and Molly waiting for the mouse to make a move at the other end.  With five cats waiting for him to emerge, the poor guy didn't stand a chance.....that's my "Mouse Box" and broom, by the way, that Molly's sitting in.  I was trying to get him out alive but.....

I know it's mean but I can't help
when I look at those photos.  I think your kitties had a successful night.  RIP little mouse.

I know! LOL  I've become pretty successful at getting rodents, lizards, even birds out of the house alive but sometimes, I just have to let nature take its course!

The only time I've had mice was when I didn't have cats.
We trapped them humanely and released them downstairs.
Oh well. The kitties enjoyed themselves.

You're exactly right, Mr. Mouse didn't stand a chance. That is so funny, Molly in your mouse box. It's so typical! I wouldn't be surprised if the cats weren't still staking out the credenza, waiting for another one to come out.

well atleast you know it was not so quick and possibly painful?? Most important is the mouse is not in the house! It left this world in kitty style!

It's true-so often the rodent is gone and the cats, even though they should know they're the ones who dispatched it, still hang around where it was....

Yeah--they brought it in, they took it out.  So to speak.  :-/
