I took Morrell in for his shots & check up yesterday. I've only had him since August. . . . . adopted from the Humane Society. . . . and was due for his shots. . .
He was such a good boy (after I caught him! . . . that was another story) . . . . he had all of his shots. . . had his sharp nails trimmed. He is healthy, but overweight (not my fault as he was living in confinement for so long). I learned that his "goopy" eye that I wrote about in an earlier post is caused from scar tissue. . . he most likely was scratched at one time and adhesions formed. . . blocking his tear duct.
The vet prescribed some drops (antibiotic & antiflammatory) to help until I bring him back in a month for a booster Feline Leukemia shot and to have surgery to remove the scar tissue from his eye.
There are no guarantees that this will fix his eye, but it's worth a try! He's such a pretty boy. . . . and will be even more so if his eye stops weeping.
