Hi,

I have a pregnant Himalayan cat, but from the 4th-fifth week of her pregnancy she started to have some creamy discharges (no-odor). I took her to the vet, the vet told me that she has one baby in her stomach (no x-ray, by exam). she guessed that the baby maybe is dead, that's why she's having the discharge and asked me to go home to see if she can give birth. the vet also took the blood test and everything was fine with the blood test. Well, three weeks passed by now. she's doing completely fine, eats, plays, drinks, and her stomach is swollen. she still has discharges and the color changed to some sort of pinkish cream-like (still no-odor) discharge.  I am not sure if these discharges are normal during the pregnancy or if it is Pyometra. Well, vet asked me to give her antibiotics, and  she was sure there is a baby in her stomach. She shows no sign of pain, fever, or anything.  I will definitely spay her after her giving birth (hopefully), but would like to know if someone had the same experience and also if someone knows pyometra discharges like and if they come with foul odor or not. and what is the differences between musuc plug and other discharges. because her discharges has no odor and are pinkish cream-like  and she acts as pregnant (i.e. sleeps a lot, eats a lot, etc.).

Thanks

I dont know exactly what your girl has. But it doesnt sound as pyometra.  With pyometra it would be pus coming out, you would recognize it, by looks and by smell.   And her running fever.

Good you are continuing with closely monitoring, and keep in touch with your vet.

So far itsnt too bad, I think. The question is, if the kitten is alive after all.  You can feel them move the two last weeks before delivery, so it would be just about now...

Good luck!
