Hello! These are my two little 7-month-old street kittens, Émilie (white paws, named for the mathematician Émilie du Châtelet) and Voltaire (brown paws, for the writer, Émilie's longtime companion). I adopted them about ten days ago and they're still quite skittish and a bit wild, so it'll be an interesting journey for all of us.
They've proven to be something of a challenge so far, so I'm sure I'll have many questions and worries as we get to know each other. I also have a little dog, Yoora, whom I adopted when she was rescued from a bad situation when she was about five years old, and she has been an absolute joy. The kitties haven't met her yet, so I'm nervous about how everyone will get along, although she's very gentle.
