Trying to breed my himalayan. If she is pregnant she would be about 18-20 days preggo. Thanks in advance for your replies. :-)

So what did they look like before she went to stud?

Looks rather like it ,  and the timing would be just right for starting to pink up.    Of course,  you're the one seeing your cat all the time in real life,  so you'll know how her nipples looked before this & if they changed now.

It would be very good if you have a mentor in the breed, are part of a breed club etc,  so you have advice from people who know specific issues with the breed.

A couple things I do know to mention:

Hopefully you have negative test results for PKD before breeding  (or if you have the lab reports that found their parents were negative , then they would be negative)

Definitely have it planned in advance for getting her to a 24 hour vet, or having your vet on call when she is due   in case she has complications.   That is true for any  cat,   but I have heard Persians & Himis have a somewhat higher rate of c-sections.

Thanks. I wish I would have taken a before pic. They seemed to be more nude colored two weeks ago.(unless it's my wishful thinking making me think that anyway) Yes she is all up to date on shots and tested negative for pkd fiv etc(the stud as well).

Not sure what the point of taking her to the vets is.  Scans for the number of kittens are unreliable and by then it will be clear if she's pregnant as her waist will be expanding.  My view is it might stress her and it might expose her to infection if someone else has an ill cat there.

I don't want to take her for an ultrasound so I can see how many kittens she is carrying, but just a check up since this would be her first litter. Thanks for your opinion though :)
