Woo Hoo! I retired a year ago and highly recommend it. I am busier than I was while working but I am finally doing only the things I want to do.

We both took early retirement to travel and enjoy ourselves and are loving every minute of it. After 31yrs with the same company, the DH had to tell all his co-workers who were in disbelief that yes "I am quitting to follow my dream of not working here." LOL
Congratulations! DH is counting down the months (about two years, actually) till early retirement.
Congrats to you both. I've been retired about 7 years now and I'm still not bored. Love not having to do what others tell me to do. You'll both be very happy, I'm sure.
Enjoy! We lead a very lazy life, but it's good!
Rick will be retiring before I do and he's looking forward to retirement and to spending more time with the grandchildren.
Me? I'm not so sure I really want to retire. I like what I'm doing and, while it would be nice not to have to deal with driving in bad weather, I'm not sure I'm ready yet. I know that if I retired, I'd be spending more time in the kitchen and I'd probably be as big as a barn! I have a few years to go, though, and maybe by then, my thoughts will be different.

No, we live in central PA. I took Winchester as my name because I'm a big Supernatural fan. And Winchester is the last name of Sam and Dean, the two hunters on the show.
