Cat licked Christmas card with glitter

DH is writing Christmas cards, and he had to get the kind with glitter.  Swanie licked the card a bit, I doubt he got much glitter from it, but is it harmful? I've been googling and it seems like it would be okay, but I thought I'd check with you guys.  Vet is closed, but I could probably call and leave a message or eVet if it's bad.

I don't think it would be a problem but I'm not sure.  I know small children in pre-schools and kindergarten do projects with glitter, messy but I would think if there was anything poisonous about it there wouldn't be all the projects involving glitter.

Should be just fine, just keep an eye on your kitty, if you notice any different behaviors in your kitty call your vet.

Thanks for the replies!  He seems to be just fine, eating, using the litter, and otherwise normal behavior.

Keep an eye out for sparkling poop!!!! :-)   I couldn't resist....

I did our Christmas cards last week and of course Pushy had to sit there "helping". We both ended up with glitter on our faces! I'm still finding little bits of glitter everywhere... no sparkly poop though :lol3: I don't think a tiny bit accidentally ingested will do any harm.

The first Christmas we had our cats they both got an ornament that had glitter on it.  I was terrified - until their poop turned out so pretty and sparkly!

The vet said the little bit they'd eaten wouldn't hurt and he was right.

Haven't had a tree since - made me too crazy!
